now i understand what is "wrong" - i have disabled reading of headers so file type is "unknow" and due this it is sorted wrong... :P i really have to use sort by extension :? :| :(

oops66: i did not set any transformation on this "test"... i was trying to set it and now in latest version it is ok... i had problems with some of previous version - and storing all properties to xbs file... now i have just problem with that path...

i will try to put $ to path as helmut wrote ...

oops66: well then... there are some screenshots (but i thinks it is not neccessary):

now, i have directory with images located on "D:\_foobar"... and i want to make some transformations and store result into "D:\_foobar\test"...

oops66: well, but there is still "issue" with output path... now, i have to use full paths (which i can't - in this case i would have to edit script for every directory !) ... or copy script file to every proccessing directory (and it is little bit... uhm... lame) :(

of course, in some cases should be type "video" with different extensions... but when xnview sorts text file with images - it is really strange X-( ... i would rather prefer sorting by extension as "type"... :shock:

Does the browsed directory contain only JPG files? Has the directory subfolders?

nope, on this case, there is just directory with .jpg files and .png files ... no subfolders. and no matter if there are only 20 .jpg files or 400 .jpeg files - lag of entire gui is there in both cases...

XnTriq: umm... well i do know how to set it or where is wallpaper stored - and this is thing i think is not so clear. thing i don't like is:

2008-01-01: i decide to set my wallpaper from "foo.jpg"
- xnview creates bmp file and store it to "XnView/xnview_wallpaper_20080101.bmp"

2008-01-02: i decide ...

oops66: i know, there is such function - saving .xbs but as i wrote - this storing of batch did not store all settings for resample (resize) for me... :P

i have simple web gallery... when i have photos from digicam, i resize it to 800x600px, matching width and height, JPEG 90%, Progressive, ... and ...

xnview: nope it didn't help neither...
is there any debug build of xnview which makes some logs? i would really like to know, what xnview is making when started to "view" directly...
