Re: Iptc4xmpCore:Location in XMP editor
In the "Origin" tab, City, State, Country, and "Location" are all displayed, thanks.
Btw, "IPTC extensions" tab (in "edit XMP") also has Location, City, State, and Country, but they are all empty.
Are these fields the same as "Origin" tab?

Re: Iptc4xmpCore:Location in XMP editor
This problem is supposed to be fixed in XnView MP 1.4.4 . Please check and confirm the bug fix here.
My test result is the same as michel038, City, State, and Country are displayed in the "Origin" tab, but Location is still not shown.

Iptc4xmpCore:Location in XMP editor
I use Tools -> Metadata -> edit IPTS to add the Location. After that, I find "Iptc4xmpCore:Location" of XMP has the same value.
But when I use Tools -> Metadata -> edit XMP, I cannot find it in all tabs.
Is it possible (or should it) to add the tag in XMP editor?

substring function of rename
Could I use a substring function in rename? For example, I just want to get the first character of the model (i.e. "C"anon or "N"ikon) in the filename.
btw, is there a exif for the shutter number ?
