I can't duplicate on my Win XP netbook. No problem in zooming your file opened in Windows Explorer after following your routine.

Don't know if this helps but I ran MP 4.8 with Wine in Puppy Linux and it didn't crash doing the same routine.

Re: Scan to folder
I just started using Xnview. I am using it to scan receipts into folders. What I do is to open the folder and then do a scan but the scan does not go into the folder. Is there a setting for this? At this time it scans it and then you have to specify the folder to save it to. This is not efficient, ...

Re: can't get paintbrush
I wanted to add color but I guess I can't had to use an editing program If you want to paint in some color on a B&W photo you'll have to use an editing program. XnView doesn't have a painting tool. The Paint filter doesn't, well... paint :? This is an operation best done with a program that support...

Re: Crash with [×] Browser Tab button
Clo...It's very similar with the bug I reported already above Good to hear that it can be reproduced…
I never would have found that one on my own. Seems to only happen with .jpg files in preview pane. I couldn't reproduce with a .tif file in preview pane.

MP 0.32 Levels adjustment
In VIEW mode, Image>Adjust>Levels doesn't bring up a dialog/adjusting window. It doesn't seem to do anything. Not sure if this is a bug or just something that Pierre hasn't implemented yet.

jpg file size
Not sure whether this should be a suggestion for a future version or whether it already exists and I just don't see it: when I save a file as a jpg, XnView allows me to change the quality with a slider that ranges from 1 to 100. That's fine but I would like to know the change in actual file size as ...

Re: Smart Curves - Curves adjustment Photoshop plugin
Yes, let me re-phrase myself, it takes up to five clicks, from viewing an image, to having the plugin open - but as you say, it shouldn't take more than three or so. I made the assumption that you would have an "8bf" icon on your View toolbar, like I have. That eliminates one click. And, I didn't i...

Re: Smart Curves - Curves adjustment Photoshop plugin
Usually it takes 5 clicks with the mouse to start a plug-in. It shouldn't. If all you use is Smart Curves then it only takes two clicks, one to open the plugins manager and the second to click "Start", since XnView will always default to the last used plugin. If the last used was not Smart Curves i...
