Great this has been added fixed. Took a while as I raised it 12 years ago, as an issue when it was first implemented.

Video Wall...
This is more aspirational suggestion, rather than a request for something small that could be implemented easily, but would love to be able to get a better idea of video content like the below. Something better than the current situation where you get 4 screenshots and more often than not the first ...

Improve thumbnail features for video files.
Hi,
I wanted to request an improvement of how videos are displayed as thumbnails. I know XNview is primarily a photo view and editor, but the frame work is already pretty much there.
So a few years ago, the feature got added that thumbnails could be made up of multiple snap shots from the file ...

Addition to '4 thumbnails for video file function' in v0.51
Awesome that the '4 thumbnails for video file' function has been added. Next step would be to allow people to pick where in the videos the thumbnails are taken from, as for half of my vids, the first and near to last frame (the program appears hard coded to take) are black screens. This would match ...

Re: Show 4 images for movie thumbnails
Just for people who may have been interested. ACDSee have added a system like this (see below). And before you ask, why not just use ACDSEE yourself, it can't handle thumb nailing as many media types as XNView.... You can select the amount of frames to be extracted and the amount of colons and rows ...

Re: Xnview and .Mov video file thumbnails always first frame
Over 200 views, but no-one wants to comment if they are having the same issue or not..... :(
I only wanted to find out if this a problem others are having or not. As in it is something Xnview cannot do at the moment, which is fine. Or is it only me having the problem, so I need to look at my codec ...

Xnview and .Mov video file thumbnails always first frame
Wanted to check. I have had this ever since first using XNview. With .mov quicktime files, I always get only the first frame shown as the thumbnail, no matter what I have set as the VideoFramePercent= option. All other thumbnails work fine. Had always assumed that this was an issue with quicktime ...

Re: Show 4 images for movie thumbnails
I'm a bit against this, given how much XnView crashes/hangs from thumbnailing a folder of movies now. Until that part is fixed, we shouldn't do any more.
It's not a codec issue, since all the folder of movies come from 1 camera, and it only crashes halfway thru.
I think there must be something ...

Re: Show 4 images for movie thumbnails
Bump....
Any movement on this. Video thumbnails on myspace now also give you 4 to five animated sequential images of what the video contains when moused over. Really usefull, would love be able to view my local video thumbnails in the same way. One screen shot is just not enough any more to work ...

Re: Show 4 images for movie thumbnails
Would prefer the option to have the multipule screenshots to be scrolled through when you mouse over a video thumbnail rather than just one picture.
FYI: There have been discussions about a somewhat similar idea.

Re: Suggestions for video catalouging / thumbnailing software
AMD have released a solution close to what I was looking for with Fusion Media Explorer. It's beta and slow (even on my 4Ghz I7). But hopefully it will improve. Otherwise a local application that does the same thing to your local videos as http://megavideo.com/ or http://www.imeem.com/video do for ...
