Basically, when a non-image file is selected and you try to do image things with it (like set it as wallpaper or use it in a slide show), it obviously doesn't work. I'm just saying it would be nice if the program recognized when this occurs and would gray out all options that apply only to image ...

What does "Copy image data" do?

I'm using RC6 now, so I don't remember if this function was in previous versions or not...

Edit -> Copy image data

What does this do and how do I use it? I've tried everything I know and still can't figure out what it does.

Thanks.

The issues with "Set as Wallpaper" and "Slide Show..." still exist, but you may not consider these a problem.

This has been changed in Fullscreen Mode. However, I would still suggest in viewer mode, this order:

Next
Previous
First
Last

Well, right now the context menu says "View in hex mode...". Has this been listed as a bug elsewhere? I can't remember.

Aha, but when selecting an image in Browser and then opening a context menu, it should only be "View in Hex mode" (no elipsis) since no dialogue is opened. Right? Hmm.

Or "secretly" check if any devices are populating the "Select TWAIN Source..." dialogue box? It seems strange to me that XnView can list any TWAIN devices, but it can't check whether there are any or not... Don't you have to know they are there in order to list them?

RC5: Suggestion - Order of Previous/Next

Other people may disagree, but I think it makes more functional sense--though maybe not more logical sense--in the context menu (Viewer and Full Screen) to have the FIRST option listed be "Next". It just seems like if I open a picture and want to browse others, the next one I would want to look at ...

That's cool. I like more submenus and shorter lists. Other people may not. Still, I think it's a good idea to combine some of this stuff (especially "Description") into the Properties dialogue, so I'm looking forward to that.

Why, yes, I do. However, even when the extension is added back, the thumbnail still doesn't show up until after XnView is relaunched. (This seems to only occur under the condition of changing Metadata while the image is without an extension...)
