embedded JPG is displayed in browser even now - but if you can also display as many (at least basic) exif tags (ISO, f-stop, etc) - that will be very good, even if you will not be able display the raw data itself !

TOOLS -> OPTIONS -> BROWSER -> BROWSER -> [ ] Auto Refresh

right now (XnView v1.97 B3) it is a check box : either on or off -> make it a check box with an input field to setup a frequency, I mean I want to be able to setup a refresh once every so many seconds ...

still an issue with 1.97 BETA 3

I can still see EV = "33/50", instead of EV = "0.66" or "2/3" when using <Exposure Bias> tag !!! Panasonic .RW2 raw files... also I can see values like "83/50" instead of "1.66" or "1 2/3" .... do you need a raw file example ? here is one - http://www.box.net/shared ...

may be 1.7 is too old and .RW2 were not yet supported back then ?

bug is there - here is a screenshot after I repeated the steps today

you can see the content of the .INI file of the right side and what I can see in the local menu on the left side... no items displayed (should be 2 items - Photoshop and C1)

let me describe the situation from yesterday

1) I was running 1.96.5 on XP/SP3
2) downloaded 1.97B1 zip, replaced (copy over) everything in 1.96.5 folder
3) started 1.97B1
4) saw the bug, tried to change the option to store the configuration from .INI to registry - did not ...

XnView 1.97B1 = bug w/ associated programs

does not read the existing list of associated programs ( [OpenWith] section ) from xnview.ini

does add programs there through local menu (they will appear in .ini file), but they will not appear in the local menu, after that - local menu will always come ...
