Re: 1.9.4 (tgz) Fedora 40 KDE - Move operation (Alt+M) always ask for tagged or selected files before proceeding to move
maybe just add 'Don't ask again' checkbox Yes, good idea :D
keep it within session and reset on exit, as making it persistent will require to add related combobox in Settings (like for 'Save changes to file')
Don't know about this. I'm one of the users that doesn't make use of image tagging ...

1.9.4 (tgz) Fedora 40 KDE - Move operation (Alt+M) always ask for tagged or selected files before proceeding to move
The move files operation always cause a nagging pop-up dialogue box that the user must interact in order to proceed.
This one is just annoying, and it doesn't seems to be any option/setting to make the user choose a default answer to this.

Update.
I have another machine at home running Linux Mint 21.3 Cinnamon - and XnView MP 1.9.1 installed by flatpak. On this OS, the save file operation works without any issue.
However, at Fedora 41 KDE, even after newest software update - it still cannot save any images. I have to resolve to the ...

Re: Change timestamp - use file name as source of date/time
Another software can do this task :. . . .
Yess, I know there are many ways to achieve this. In Linux, this is easilly achieved by a bash script. In Windows, either vbs or Autohotkey script are well suited for this task.
Questionable if possible to fix by a windows bat file.
But it's a good ...

Change timestamp - use file name as source of date/time
Hi forum.
I sometimes get images from an apple device sent in mail, and those image files typically are stripped for any exif data.
So I may sit on a bunch of files where the date and time stamp are part of the file names, such as
20190622_055718955_iOS.webp
20190622_055827389_iOS.webp

This issue I got after upgrading to a newer version of XnView.
OS: Fedora 41 KDE (official spin).
To reproduce:
Open XnView, navigate to a folder containing images
Open any image.
Do something, anything with the image - or do not do any changes. This doesn't matter.

Configure programs - gimp won't open any images (MX Linux 23.4, KDE Plasma)
Hi.
MX Linux user here, KDE Plasma v. 5.27.5
For some reason, adding Gimp to list of alternative apps doesn't work for me. Simply put, after I right-click on a thumbnail in viewer, Open with --> gimp-2.0 , nothing happens. No dialog box, no new window. I'd expected that Gimp started.

Animated webp - garbled appearance when animation for multipage files are diasbled
When manually scrolling through the frames in an animated webp page using Next/Previous page buttons, only the first opened image looks like intended. All following frames look garbled (i.e. probably XnView simply view one frame at a time with masking, disregarding previous frame instead of adding ...
