do you have this crash with XnViewMP x64?
No, i tried with several files. No crash occured. But XnViewMP treats emz files as non image files and to me it seems that it doesn't try to display the file content.
I have attached error messages with occure when I do a right click (shell extension) on ...

I have attached a sample.
As I mentioned above, I compressed the file with 7zip using gzip method.
By doubleclicking the file, XnView crahes with the windows message "XnView für Windows funktioniert nicht mehr/XnView for Windows doesn't work any more".

I used XnView to view emz files.
These files were created by compressing emf files with 7zip (gzip).
Since some time XnView (and also XnViewMP) crashes when I try to open emz files.
It can't display emz fiels anymore, too.
Is this a bug or has the support for emz files been dropped?

The original file is called "test 6.JPG". Upper case extension!
Case 1:
