Re: XnViewMP 0.93.1 - Rebuild thumbnail function scan *.rar files

I delete the whole thumbnail database and rebuild it again.
I could not reproduce the problem. Maybe something else stopped the scanning process.

XnViewMP 0.93.1 - Rebuild thumbnail function scan *.rar files

Today I want to rebuild my whole thumbnail database with the function in settings menu. I pressed the rebuild button and XnViewMP scanned my directories. The XnViewMP thumbnail rebuilder scanned a *.rar file with 700 MB and it took much time!!! Why XnViewMP scans a compressed file, if it will not sh...

XnViewMP 0.93.1 - similar files - problem with deleted files

I used the similar files search with some testfiles and XnViewMP works good, but some small details could be better. The function search for duplicate files will have a problem, if the user delete picture files of the search result. Furthermore I get duplicate search results with the same picture fi...

XnViewMP 0.93.1 - Use CPU Core's - limited to last used setting

First thank you for the latest update of XnViewMP. It is fantastic! My Intel i8700k CPU can use up to 12 cpu cores. --- Description --- 1. Start XnviewMP 1. Open the batch conversion mode 2. Choose many files (e.g. 100 pictures) to convert 3. Set used cpu cores to a smaller value than your cpu can u...

Re: XnViewMP 0.93 (Win10) - WebP with 32bit colour depth problem

Yes.

XnViewMP:

1. File => Open ... (select Media Harbour Race test.psd)
2. File => Export ...
3. Webp file Format => Quality=90%, Compression method =6, Filter strength= 20, Filter sharpness = 0

The produced webp file is fine.

Re: XnViewMP 0.93 (Win10) - Batch conversion - problem with 32bit color depth

Something in the batch conversion mode is the problem of incompatible or damaged webp files! I saved my Photoshop file with 32bit colour depth with XnView 2.47 and XnView MP to webp format with 90% quality and the Windows Explorer has no problem with it! Then I converted the same Photoshop file with...

Re: XnViewMP 0.93 (Win10) - WebP with 32bit colour depth problem

I use the icaros thumbnail generator for video files and I think it generates thumbnails for pictures, too.
Website: http://shark007.net/tools.html

If I save a picture to webp format with 24bit, everything is correct! - Strange.
Only 32 bit colour depth is the problem.

XnViewMP 0.93 (Win10) - WebP with 32bit colour depth problem

Does somebody know, why Windows 10 64bit and Android 7.x or (higher) smartphones/tablets could not show WebP image files with 32bit colour depth? Is it a new feature of WebP 1.0 ? Do the operating systems use old webp libraries? I saved the images with XnViewMP to WebP format. Other Windows picture ...

Re: XnConvert 1.79 (64bit)

The new release 0.79 is great!

The percentage value does not match with the green progress bar.
If you are over 60% the progress bar will be at 100%.

I think the progress bar use a wrong maximum value to show 100%.

Integration of external picture file optimizer (Pingo)

I usually compress jpeg and png files with pingo optimizer (https://css-ig.net/pingo) to compress jpeg/png files to the smallest size. The results of png files are impressive. If you use jpeg files it will only saves 1-30 percent. the pingo optimizer saves jpeg files in another way and remove exif d...

Re: XnConvert 1.78 (64bit) - problem with *.psd with multi-layer and Multi-CPU core conversion!

I am sorry and forgot to set the switch for "convert multi layer". But it did not help or the status information in the conversion window are wrong. I tried my test with another directory ( 1.385 psd files - with smartobjects). XnConvert said: Input files: 1385 Extracted pages: 4676 Overwritten: 467...

Re: XnConvert 1.78 (64bit) - problem with *.psd with multi-layer and Multi-CPU core conversion!

Here is a photoshop file with 2 text layers which produce the error.
I copied this file 5 times and renamed it to 01.psd, 02.psd, ... and 05.psd.
Then I tested the Multi-CPU core mode with setting 2.
