Latest "paste with opacity" is nice but implementation is not user friendly:

Opacity/size dialog is an extra line on the menu resulting in on-screen image size change (twice, down on ctrl-v and back up on Apply). Upon "apply" selection is now reset so we can't move it and easily paste the same size ...

May not be a bug but a feature :-) In RGB ajustements:

0-50 basically make no effect, somewhere around 70 it starts to actually adjust color, around 100 become visible:

Here is the example:

R, R_agjust, new_R:

64, 0-50, 64 (no change !!!)
64, 0-60, 65
64, 70-80, 66
64, 100, 67
64, 120, 70
64 ...

Indeed, thanks for the reminder, and it's assignable to shortcuts

Now need the same for ratio

Basically to all menu items with long selection list:
- effects
- selection : set ratio
- selection : set size
- image : map
etc.

Would be nice to have it assignable as a keyboard shortcut (I used "set ratio" all the time)

CTRL-V was always "paste in current selection". Now it's "paste in the center" with new "size/opacity" dialog. Though blending "opacity" may be a nice feature and someone may find numerical placement handy not being able ...

I may know why you were no able to reproduce - it only happens when image is zoomed to "full size" (press "/").

With selection size is as on provided with photo screenshot, problem is persistent. Actually position of the selection doesn't seem to matter ...

How to reproduce:

Make selection, crop normally (Shift-X), undo (Ctrl-Z) - selection is back, try to crop lossless - menu item is greyed out (disabled). Move selection back and forth - lossless crop is now enabled.

In XnViewMP this doesn't work, all files must be explicitly listed as:
"\MYPHOTO\photo1.jpg"-
"\MYPHOTO\photo2.jpg"-

It's year 2023 and this "known issue" is still know, isn't it? I can't get border line, can't get "Use checkboard pattern as a background" either. But "background color" works as expected so I'm 33% happy

Not a bug but huge inconvenience. I use gaussian filter 13x13 very often to blur portion of the image. Next time I remove selection and open filter dialog to select different filter previously used one is ...

Very often there is a need to select non-rectangular shape to apply adjustments or filters. Smooth Bezier is probably overkill but polygon selection would be really nice to have.

Wile on this topic variable gradient on edge of the selection would also be nice (e.g. adjustments is proportional to ...

If XnView is on the 2nd monitor all dialog boxes open on the 1st one. I think it's not convenient - but default they should be open on the same monitor as XnView and keep position till XnView is closed
