Show Desktop in folder tree

Hi, what do you think about checking "Show Desktop in folder tree" by default?

I think it is note very useful to hide the desktop for new user who don't know about this option.

Re: b1: [Req] Menu "Create" in View mode

I suggest to introduce the main menu "Create" in View mode, too.
Very good suggestion.

Perhaps even clearer and easier: Show exactly the same menu structure in both modes and just disable the entries that are not available in the respective mode.

But if i add 'Create', i think that there now ...

For 'Thumbnail view' , the debate is still open between:
- Helmut's suggestion with separate columns for 'Item in Thumbnails view' and 'Show as Thumbnail' in order to get 'Thumbnails view' and 'Other views' closer.
- My suggestion for a single column for 'Thumbnails view' with droplists (Show/List ...

It will even get tighter if you include one more column for Navigation, as it was included in Pierre's original proposal. ;)

Yes, this is the right place: Just double click at this value and change the data from "OISjpegfile" to "XnView.jpg".

USB events

What does this option do:
Tools -> Options -> Intall -> Add XnView as application for USB events?

When I plug in my camera or my card-reader, windows shows a dialog, where I can select an application to be started. But XnView doesn't appear in this dialog, even when above option is checked.

Update EXIF thumbnail?

Is it possible to embed an updated EXIF thumbnail after editing an image?
