Remember to check "Create from original image if embedded thumbnail is smaller than thumbnail size".
Settings [F12] / Browser / Thumbnail / Misc.

If unchecked selected thumbnails will not rebuild.
Why is this setting not selected by default?

Tried to filter on "IPTC/Country Code" in search. It seem not possible. I can only filter on "IPTC/Source" and it fails filtering on country code.
The option "IPTC:All Fields" does not have a "Does not contain"
But I can filter foreign countries by "XML:Country" "Does not contains" "Denmark" and ...

On converting my photos to TV format, I insert some info as text and a national flag for origin using watermark.
Can I use the Country code from IPTC as part of the image file name in the watermark?

I don't need to. You simply take the example provided. It has the IPTC included.

BTW The flag is a watermark. Would be nice to load it using {IPTC:Country Code} in the path

It is very relevant when inserting IPTC strings on a picture using "Batch convert"

I usually resize the picture to 8K, resize the canvas to 8K TV format with the image positions on the left.
This leaves a nice blank area on the right hand side.
Then I insert {IPTC:Headline} and {IPTC:Caption ...

I think, that I might have confused templates from Geosetter with templates from XnView. Sorry

Running Classic v. 2.46 I have a problem loading templates in XMP.
From "Edit IPTC data" selecting "Load template" only displays IPTC files (*.ipt) and not my XMP files.

For years I've been using Geosetter for geotagging - and XnView for everything else.
I've never found a way to geotag an image in XnView. Is this posible?
In Geosetter I simply select a location on a map - and add this position to the image.
I can even make templates with both coordinates and ...

Any news on supporting the new IPTC fields?
Currently I'm using Supplemental Categories for persons. But it would be nice if PersonInImage was supported by XnView.

The field "Information displayed" in "Web page Create" can only hold 1024 characters. This is not enough if ITCP information is included.
(Not to mention EXIF :shock: )

Could the max. length of this field be expanded to "something huge" ??
