[2.47] Issue creating PDF from PNG
Good day. When creating a PDF with Deflate compression from PNG files created with Paint Shop Pro XI I now get several blank pages. If I save every PNG with Irfanview first, created PDF is ok. I think this wasn't happening under v2.46 Best regards. This is one affected PNG: https://imgur.com/xkyoOxo...

Re: [2.22] Creating PDF with non-std filenames
I think it's easier to rename those filenames first, instead of using two software.

Re: [2.22] Creating PDF with non-std filenames
Thanks for the replies, gentlemen. Yes I am aware XnViewMP supports Unicode, but I will stick to XnView classic until the MP version is mature.

[2.22] Creating PDF with non-std filenames
Hello. Some days ago while creating a PDF file some of the source JPEG filenames had got Spanish characters in them. They were 10 source files. The resulting PDF file was 7 pages only. XnView had just skipped those 3 files with special characters in its filename (vowels with "tilde" - á é í ó ú). Is...

Re: How to specify dpi/resolution when saving Postscript fil
I want to create a BW Postscript file to be sent directly to my laser printer. It's just raster data. Funny enough the only software that does PS properly for me it's an ancient ms-dos program called Display.

How to specify dpi/resolution when saving Postscript files
Hello.
Whenever I write a file to Postscript format is saved with 72dpi. Is there any way to specify resolution?
Thanks.

Re: JPEG v9.1 now supports 12-bit color and lossless compres
I don't think it will become mainstream. JPEG2000 also has got lossless compression and it's seldom used.

[v2.20] Collate copies when printing does not work
Hello.
The topic title says it all. I have made a test trying to print out a multipage TIFF and "Collate copies" doesn't work at all. There isn't even an option to Collate copies as far as I know.

Re: Addons -> PNGOUT
No. I don't think there is any noticeable compression benefits either. Ken Silverman just added a few parameters and changed some minor things here and there.

Addons -> PNGOUT
Can the pngout addon be updated to current version?
Ken Silverman's PNGOUT
Xnview version is from 2011. Current PNGOUT version is from 2013 (February)

Re: Automatically Crop Black Space Around JPGS
Most scanner drivers have an option to do a Preview first, where you can set a scanning area. Canon even has got an "detect area" feature. You are scanning a too wide area. And unless your scanner controls allow you to adjust contrast/gamma/area you are out of luck for properly doing an "auto-crop"....

Re: Automatically Crop Black Space Around JPGS
I would try increasing contrast first and then doing the autocrop.
