Maybe develop a version of XnView as a Google Chrome App?
I'm not 100% sure how Google Chrome Apps work but it seems to me that considering the increased demand for more file format support (in particular SVG since it's becoming more and more popular for web design as well as for other uses) that it might make some sense to attempt to develop a version of ...

Re: How come SVG support isn't native?
I know this is a fairly old thread but I have to wonder now why someone hasn't yet taken the svg rendering library/engine that the open-source linux program 'Gwenview' (and as far as I know many other linux programs) uses and ported it to make a free plugin for XnView that can display SVG files.

Re: Shell menu causes Explorer to crash on Windows XP deskto
Ok, so is there a workaround for now to allow me to still enable the shell extension without having to worry about having explorer crash on me all the time when I go to do things on the desktop? Perhaps the last known stable version of the shell extension should be posted on the website for now for ...

Shell menu causes Explorer to crash on Windows XP desktop
When I attempt to perform various right click operations on the Windows XP desktop with the shell extension for XnView 1.97.6 enabled explorer crashes (sometimes restarts, sometimes doesn't), I have confirmed that this is caused by the XnView by using a utility called ShellExView from Nirsoft to ...

Re:
XnView is a tool for displaying raster graphics i.e. graphics based on pixels. Webbrowsers like Firefox have a rendering engine , they render HTML code or SVG (graphic) code into a real visual graphic on your screen (which is again pixel based because monitors are pixel based).

Re: SageThumbs 1.0.0.12 - Thumbnail image shell extension
Is it possible to disable the shell menu feature for SageThumbs and still leave it registered as the thumbnail handler for windows explorer (really like the fact that it provides thumbnail images in windows explorers thumbnail view for so many formats that previously were unsupported or marginally ...

Shell Extension Not Working
Well the problem I'm having is that the shell extension shows up in my right click context menu but none of the features of it work, I don't get a preview thumbnail, the convert menu opens and lets me pick a format to convert to but it never does the conversion, the 'Options' menu item doesn't do ...

Re: How to view thumbnail in context menu of MS Explorer
I too am having this problem, not sure if it's possibly related to the fact that I just recently installed Adobe Photoshop CS4 or not, or if it started occurring after upgrading to XnView 1.96 (I just upgraded to 1.96.1 in the hopes that it would fix it but no such luck, and I uninstalled the prior ...
