A single swipe on touchpad scrolls multiple images (Mac)

When I swipe left or right on the touchpad in Viewer, the display very quickly scrolls through several images.

Is it possible to limit it to one at a time, with another swipe required for the next one ?

Two little annoyances...

Love the program. There's however two small annoyances:

1) The difference in pop up menu available when looking at the thumbs vs opening a photo. E.g. keywords / categories can be edited from thumbnail menu but not from the open file view. (I know there's the CTRL-I but I will forget the shortcut ...

Re: Sorting - help ?

Yes, that's precisely what happens. The selected image is still selected... somewhere among hundreds of other images.

I used Faststone and it always keeps the selected image visible on screen. I want to switch to XNview mainly due to Keywords support but it's driving me nuts. I use XNView to find ...

Sorting - help ?

If I have a thumbnail selected, and change sorting order (say from Date to File name) I lose the selected file & have to scroll to find it.

Is there a setting to fix this ? I want to retain the focus on selected file when the thumbnails are re-sorted.

Re: Flickr "invalid auth token" on 2nd upload

Yes, basically it only lets me upload once.

Something goofy going on with my XNView install... while it retains most user settings (themes, colors etc). it keeps losing the paths to the external editing programs.

Re: Flickr "invalid auth token" on 2nd upload

Wow, I'm overwhelmed by all the help

Anyway, no solution to this particular issue, but there's a workaround:

- Download & install Flickr Uploadr tool
- Add it to "Open with" menu

It's actually better because it allows you to specify tags, comments, and sets.

v 0.61: Upload to Flickr only works once

After getting authorization token, I can upload just once.

Trying to use the upload the second time I get "Invalid auth token" error message.

I tried to clear browser's cache, re-authorized several times. After every re-authorization this happens again.

Using v0.61 on Windows 7 x64, with Firefox ...

Flickr tags ?

Is there a way to add tags to the photo in XNView to have them turn in Flickr tags on upload (whether uploaded via XNview or browser) ?

Flickr "invalid auth token" on 2nd upload

I tried to use Ligthroom for my DAM, didn't quite like it as it's a memory hog. However, since I switched from Canon to Sony Nex, I was unhappy with skin colors I was getting in LR. Just last week, I tried Photo Ninja and was so smitten with output, I decided to switch to it as my main RAW editor ...

Re: Color labels - custom names possible ? + feature request

The more I use XNView, the more I appreciate the feature set, and even more the lack of consistent ways to apply Categories and Color Labels drives me nuts...

Please make it into one menu - preferably right click - that can be used in any view...

Re: Color labels - custom names possible ? + feature request

(Edited) Two more questions.

1) Is there a way to have text descriptions of color labels show up in right-click menu in Browser window ?

2) I find XNView's Filters indispensable for quick edits of some photos, or quick conversion of raw to jpeg. When I work on 10-15 files among a couple hundred (e ...

Color labels - custom names possible ? + feature request

Is there a way to change the current designation of color labels (Personal, ToDo, Work etc.) ?

Also, can "Categories" command be added to the pop-up menu in thumbnail view ? I.e. I want to be able to assign categories to photos by right-clicking on their thumbnail vs having to go to "View" menu ...

Categories - suggested improvement

Categories could be an extremely powerful organizing tool. They are useful now, but I think there are ways to make the feature much more powerful:

1) Nested categories - selecting a parent category should show all photos in child categories. E.g. if I have parent cat. "Travel" and under it "Paris ...
