XnView 2.46 can open the attached .jpg file after you rename it to any standard alphabet letter but cannot open it if it contains a non-standard character as it does in the attachment.
So right click download the attachment and try to open it in XnView.
Then rename it and try again.

Re: Command line to convert all @Profile.png files inside many subfolders to @Profile.jpg
If you can forgive my basic questions but I am using Windows:
Where do I download the command version from, where do I place it and where do I place the folder filled with folders which have @Profile.png in their first level, before double clicking on the .bat file with your code?

Re: Command line to convert all @Profile.png files inside many subfolders to @Profile.jpg
Just wondering why jpeg and not jpg in your code? So this is just a matter of command code knowledge? I always wondered what the best forum is for that? Maybe I can start a thread on some forum that does that, it would be nice to know a code that can do that. Back to the good part, is this correct: ...

Re: Command line to convert all @Profile.png files inside many subfolders to @Profile.jpg
Absolutely. Attached please find a test folder tree with three files in random subdirectories that are all named @Profile.png but they are all different files.
The goal is to get @Profile.jpg files in the same locations.
Here is the attachment:

Command line to convert all @Profile.png files inside many subfolders to @Profile.jpg
Say there are many different files each with the same file name @Profile.png but there are a thousand of them inside a thousand different subfolders. How can all @Profile.png files be converted to @Profile.jpg with output being exact same location as each individual @Profile.png file?

Re: Edit Background Color for .png files
Here's are my conclusions on this issue: People may not really understand what it means to Image > Remove Alpha Channel and they might they think by doing that they "lose" the quality of the original image... But the reality is, 10/10 times, it's editing an image that is not important. So...would it...

Re: Edit Background Color for .png files
What would it take for XnView to handle 32-Bit and is it likely it will have this feature added at any point?
In other words, is what is involved so complex, that XnView is unlikely to really ever be able to handle it?

Re: Edit Background Color for .png files
All right.
The additional step of
Image > True Color accomplishes this and is the answer to this thread's question.
Thank you.
For informational purposes, what exactly happens to the original file when you Image > True Color it?

Re: Edit Background Color for .png files
Screenshot software set to default takes png screenshots... They appear to be 32-Bit. We need to be able to very quickly simply white out a small part of that standard screen shot. Or else I am forced to open the screenshot in Photoshop and do it that way. What would it take to make the default back...

Re: Edit Background Color for .png files
Yes. My screenshot software saves 32-Bit .png files.
Does that mean it is not possible to set the background color for 32-Bit .png files?
