I KNOW you are kidding me. The ONE single thing - and most obvious - that I didn't check.

THANK YOU!!!!! I will be appropriately and simultaneously smacking my forehead and kicking my own ass all day in compensation...

And rechecking my now-old laptop - it was on version 1.9.5, and CDR and CPT files show as available associated formats. the new 1.9.8 does not.

Did something change?

OK - an update - it appears that the program IS showing basic images (JPGs, PNGs, etc), but NOT CDRs, which it was in the other version. I don't recall having to "code" this anywhere - but do I?

As another follow-up - do I need to dome some sort of initial "build all thumbnails" process? Everything is in one master folder and its subfolders. It's been years since I first installed the program, though always updated it when prompted.

Just checked settings on old systems and they mirror new ...

Thanks for the response, and I should have been more specific. I AM using Xnview MP, and so not sure what's changed from my old Windows 10 laptop setup to the new install on my Windows 11 laptop?

Hi guys - been using this program forever and just had to replace an ancient laptop that finally gave up the ghost. Installed the software, and while it shows the files it doesn't show them as thumbnails - only blank "sheets." Not sure what settings I haven't turned on?

I open the program, and edit Favorites. I assign a folder to a given favorite, yet every time I run a search, I have to go back and reset the folder. I used to have the search permanently set on one folder (which is the only folder I ever use for searches) and its subfolders, so that when I opened ...

Apologies for the ignorance.

For past several versions of XnView the program will not save my favorite folder(s). I ALWAYS use the same primary folder, with subfolders checked off, and for years it worked just fine. Now, every time I do a search, even within the same session, I have to go back and tell it which folder to search ...

Perhaps this has already been resolved long ago, but my XnView Classic will not show thumbnails for .SVG files - only icons. What am I doing wrong? Thanks

OK, have done ALL of this. Wiped out entire cache, rebuilt thumbnails, and still, regardless of setting of thumbnail size, the images themselves do not change in size. The white space around them increases or decreases, but not the images.

Help?!?

I am having the same problem - huge white space surrounding tiny thumbnails, despite doing all of the above, and changing (I thought) every setting imaginable. I have redownloaded the latest version 3 times - same results.

Any other ideas?
