I think I can. But that would just kill all my settings, when I finally get rid of most of the windows and stuff... While I believe that this is simply a bug, that use the Esc as only go from fullscreen to the editing preview and then clear the preview and did not show a thing and one can hit Esc as...

Todays I, in search of ACDSee v3 replacement for Linux (Ubuntu 14.04 LTS), I tried the XnView. To me, it looks (I was unable to install the recommended gThumb, because it simply fail to work with Unity (default distro), so... And I sadly have a bugreport. (ACDSee you get a huge PLUS from be, because there is any key = space too :wink: )
