anyway...

at the beginning I think the labels are not correctly imported from old xnview.ini file, now after some deep tests (also with a "fresh" installation without xnview.ini) I cannot see any labels; I see only the filename like in the picture below ...

using shadow and thumbnails for folders it's all ok, but using a background different from white in upper part of every thumbnails of folders a white part is visible, so it should be transparent

copying my XnView 1.80.3 setup in 1.82 alpha I lost the "labels"; I use this setup in 1.80.3 (picture), in 1.82 alpha I see only the filename

the cleartype font smoothing (introduced with windows xp and avalaible tlll now only for it) is a system-wide setting, not a XnView setting and when enabled, all programs should automatically use it

here, http://mb.n3.net/projects/ , I've found a thumbnail handler to extract and show thumbnails for real video files :D :P

this handler for explorer after installing it's utilized also by XnView!!!!

Hi, I'm a long time XnView user, but new in the forum :P

The cleartype system setting, when enabled, is utilized in browser view but not in options window (and all other windows started from menu)

it's could better to use cleartype in every window

see in this picture the different font rendering ...

I know, but not 100% sure, msn display pictures are in .png format and emoticons also in .gif; simply they are named .dat and saved in internet explorer cache

using msn messenger, you can use msncpecrawler.exe (an external free tool) to find and see these images

so, in my opinion, it's more useful ...
