hey gotcha ! I still use xnView for watching photos and stuff but for work I switched to ddsview:

It completely free and supports tiled view (M) and Alpha of course (A) and combined alpha (B) as well as browsing through mipmap stages (left/right) but it doesn't ...

Currently if you browse in a subfolder somewhere in the user data,
the tree view of the xnview browser expands to the last visible folder and not further.
if you do this in the explorer all folders if hidden or not are expanded to the current location so you can actually browse in a maybe NOT ...

Sometimes I try opening erroneous images in xnview.
What happens then is:

hmm... but I know RMB+Wheel from other apps. For instance Image Zoom-extension for Firefox does this the same way with the zoom. There the contextmenu is supressed as well if you RMB+wheel-zoom. Feels good!!

I don't know if there is anyone that ever came across this problem..
I mean actually its a very tiny one ;] ..
I made an custom Icon for a folder in Windows XP. I assembled the 48, 32 and 16 pixel images with IconXP from AHA-Soft. And then I do a rightclick on my folder, say Properties ...
