hey gotcha ! I still use xnView for watching photos and stuff but for work I switched to ddsview: http://www.amnoid.de/ddsview/ It completely free and supports tiled view (M) and Alpha of course (A) and combined alpha (B) as well as browsing through mipmap stages (left/right) but it doesn't downscal...

Hey Clo! I must interfere: There is no problems with my links and I drive very, very good with hidden extensions (for years now!) because everything (Type and Icon) is perfectly set up. The problem is in xnview: Give xnview a wrong path: error + opening xnview. Give xnview a path to a broken image, ...

Currently if you browse in a subfolder somewhere in the user data, the tree view of the xnview browser expands to the last visible folder and not further. if you do this in the explorer all folders if hidden or not are expanded to the current location so you can actually browse in a maybe NOT hidden...

hmm... but I know RMB+Wheel from other apps. For instance Image Zoom-extension for Firefox does this the same way with the zoom. There the contextmenu is supressed as well if you RMB+wheel-zoom. Feels good!!

No this is a completely other problem. But I know this nasty one too!! In my case xnview responses correctly from the first image on but if you hold "Next Image" it begins to stutter and stop but reacts correctly on single keystrokes. Sometimes hitting next image several times helps and it runs flue...
