Re: Scan (acquire) restore normal (silent) behaviour

** I also have found the same issue with my Canon scanner. Is there some place we can get the previous version?

It's ok, I found a 1.91.x version on my PC I can still use until this is fixed.

16 bit Tiffs

Just a quick question, I'm sure it's supported but I wanted to make sure. I scan 16 bit per channel TIFs in to my PC from my UMAX Mirage IIse scanner and use XNView to straight, crop and adjust the images. Some images need to be joined together to make a panarama and I've been using Photoshop CS2 fo...

Multiple Browsers

Is there any reason why multiple browsing windows can't be opened? I would find that to be a big help. Especially if I was searching for specific files and comparing them to another folder.

Batch slicing

I'd like to see XnView be able to slice images into pieces, save the pieces and create the html to piece it back together in a table. You should be able to tell Xnview where the slices should be or set it to batch slice a bunch of images at once by telling it how many slices you want it would do it ...

Solution

I changed the sorting of the thumbnails to "by Name (numeric)", that has made both sides the same.

I don't see where I can sort the folder tree.

Incorrect Sorting

I am working with Windows XP and the latest version of XNView. XNView sorts folders two different ways on the same screen. For example...on the left side of the screen, the folder tree, the folders are listed... 3 Series 3.0 5 Series 6 Series 7 Series 8 Series 700 2000 2002 then folders listed start...

Output to original directories

Here is something that would save me a lot of time. When I do a batch convert on a number of images, they might be in 10 or 15 different folders. When it does the conversion it puts all the finished conversions into one directory. I'd like XnView to put the converted files BACK into their original d...

Re: PDF Manipulations

Yes, but i think that you want to merge PDF but without importing original PDF files as picture (lossless), right?
Right. I just want to highlight two PDFs and have them combined into one file.

PDF Manipulations

I'd like to have the ability to create PDFs from images. Highlight a bunch of images and then right click, CREATE PDF and it would create a PDF file of those images. It would also be nice to combine PDF files. Highlight two PDF files, right click and COMBINE PDF. I'd also like to insert pages into a...

I can move any folder anywhere. I just drag and drop it from the right side to the left side of the window.

My problem was XNVIEW wasn't showing me the folders in the image window on the right. I had to activate that option for Thumbnail view and now it works great!
