Lots of files were lost when the Wiki was hacked.

The date on the file is 1/19/2018. It's by Easy Software Products, v 1.28.27. It's copyrighted 2009, however.
PDF documents exported from MediaWiki are generated on demand by PdfBook which uses htmldoc by Easy Software Products.

Sorry but, reading an incomplete Windows User Guide for a different version of XnView is a definite drawback. Two chapters are missing. :(
Yeah, I just realized that this is not the draft I had in mind. Lots of files were lost when the Wiki was hacked. Let's hope I'll find it on an old HDD.

Re: Newbie Guide impressions in XnViewMP

I still don't see a way to show only the Media Files currently on my drives in the browser. So I worked around it and selected the folders with the media as favorites. That way they all show up in the favorites folder. What are your settings in View → Filter by ? Images Videos Sounds Archives All T...

Re: Newbie Guide impressions in XnViewMP

More like "Settings" (menubar)->Metadata. Right. I forgot that you're not on Windows. Check the appropriate boxes. I will choose the option to add preceding extension. It did not solve my problem, however. This issue's supposed to be fixed :-? lecture des métadonnées XMP associé à un fichier RAW Mo...

Re: Newbie Guide impressions in XnViewMP

The two files shown in my original post do not get filtered out from the displayed files list, because their full names are not purely XMP, rather they are: ".dng.xmp". The full file name is shown: HMS_1990-12-10_Home_Cats_Jane_Bobalu_Ricky_2.dng.xmp Plaase add your comment to the discussion about ...

Re: Newbie Guide impressions in XnViewMP

I see you are working on documentation for MP version, apparently. I could donate some time to help improve it, in lieu of payment for company use. Any interest? Please take note that all things “Xn-” are and have always been the work of a single independent developer . (I'm just a passionate user ...

Re: Forum: User Password Retrieval is almost useless

Good news, but Griffin originally referred to the case where a user had forgotten both their username and the email address they had used when registering, and the suggestion was to contact a moderator. I can now confirm that it isn't in fact possible to contact a moderator unless logged in, but th...
