Re: Folder Pane doesn't render unicode folder name.
Was talking about XnView. Sorry I didn't know there was an XnViewMP version. I'll try that.

Re: please add support for unicode filenames
After 4 years, this request has still not been fulfilled. XnView is very limited to western languages only. No support for Eastern languages?
I'm using English version of windows 7 64 bit, but can't open files which have unicode characters in it's path.

Re: Folder Pane doesn't render unicode folder name.
Was this problem ever fixed? I am getting the same problem. I can't open a folder in XnView which contains unicode (e.g. Arabic) characters.
I can't use Windows browser (which is set to open XnView by default) to open a file which has Arabic characters in it's path. I get an error which shows ...

Re: XnView hangs when browsing through large folder
OK, thanks. I see that it had been a common issue since a very long time, since XP days. But I guess it still hasn't been fixed. Maybe 'sort by type' should just be removed and replaced with only 'sort by extension'. I can see why there is a freeze when using "sort by type" because the program has ...

Yes try to remove 'ArrangeBy=4'
Excellent. That was the correct answer. :D
So what does this line do that gave me the freezes for all these months or years. And how come it wasn't reported here before? I tried searching but couldn't see anyone else having the same problem... unless it was ...

Re: XnView hangs when browsing through large folder
Here is something mind boggling. I changed settings back to how they were when I was getting freezes, and now I'm not getting the freeze. I tried it with a folder with 1000 files and no freezes.
So how is this fixed? I think there is a bug in xnview somewhere and it fixed the problem when I changed ...

Re: XnView hangs when browsing through large folder
Hello XnTriq,
Your suggestion kind of worked as I didn't experience the freezes. However, when I double click on an image in windows explorer, XnView opens in browser mode. This is not what I wanted. I want to open the image in normal mode. That is a must. I want to use windows explorer as my image ...

Re: XnView hangs when browsing through large folder
Sorry I don't exactly know what you're asking me. My settings are default in XnView.
Only thing I have changed are the keyboard binds to the ones I listed above. And also, I chose not to automaitcally play audio and video files. I haven't touched anything else.
Edit:
Sorry, I don't think I made ...

XnView hangs when browsing through large folder
I've always had this problem with XnView for years. I always anticipated the problem to be fixed whenever I downloaded a new version. However, it hasn't.
Therefore I just had to sign up and report this annoying bug.
