Just to add to this, one of the reasons for being able to slow the batch conversion option is that if you are running one in a hot/humid climate a laptop may overheat and suddenly switch off, especially if it is charging (often a generic battery in many people's cases) whilst running the conversion ...

Preview in Batch convert continue to use Full(or Half size) when 'Embedded preview' is selected for Convert in Settings

Now when new photos are added we have to rebuild slideshow list which is major inconvenience. I think when we add whole folder in slideshow dialog it should save a folder name to SLD file, not convert it to the list

XnConvert Version 1.105.0 - x64 (Apr 16 2025) - Libformat version 7.221
I have Avif as option and when selected and click convert, error for all images: xxxxxxxxxxx.avif : not an image
