I tried to associate with Tools -> Options -> Browser -> File list and selected Open with XnView for the images category.
Did I do something wrong? Should file associations work, the same as in regular XnView do?

File associations in Windows x64 not working?
I have noticed that with latest 0.32, file associations are not working on any on my 2 Windows 7 x64 boxes.
I thought it were not implemented yet in MP, but seems that under XP x86 they work.
Will this be fixed in the regular Win32 build, or will we need to wait for the x64 native version?

Re: Windows x64 binaries?
Pierre, I have seen 0.32 is available, but still no x64 Windows builds.
Any chances for testing them?

libjpeg-turbo
libjpeg-turbo (http://libjpeg-turbo.virtualgl.org/) is a replacement of the regular libjpeg that I guess is used on XnView, with several times faster processing speed.
I would like to see XnView updated with the turbo coder/decoder to improve runtime performance.

Windows x64 binaries?
Hello Pierre,
Since some time ago in the development of MP, you stated about a future x64 native build for Windows (the same as exists for Linux).
Are you evaluating any ETA for it, so it can be tested too?
Thanks.

Re: MP 0.2 on Windows relied on VS2005 runtime?
Definitively marsh it has solved my issue on Windows 7 x64 and x86.marsh wrote:In: Microsoft.VC80.OpenMP.manifest
I altered this:
version="8.0.50727.42"
to read this:
version="8.0.50727.762"
and it allowed a launch in emulator. This was a blind edit.
Thanks.

Re: MP 0.2 on Windows relied on VS2005 runtime?
Meanwhile Pierre fixes the OpenMP deployment problem, I have uploaded to my personal site the propper OpenMP manifest file from Visaul C++ 2005 SP1, that works fine with the supplied DLL. You only need to download the file, replace your existing one, and it will work fine. Reach it at http://guti.bi...

Re: MP 0.2 on Windows relied on VS2005 runtime?
That only applies to the C/C++ Runtime Library, and unfortunatelly is not valid to OpenMP (even in 9.0 it is not possible to statically link it to my knowledge), but at least would be a good choice for MSVCRT (I believe it will overall decrease the size of the distribution).

Re: MP 0.2 on Windows relied on VS2005 runtime?
After some investigations it seems the problem is a mismatch between the OpenMP manifest, and the libray (vcomp.dll).
Also, why not compiling with VC++ 2008 instead of 2005 Pierre? Maybe a performance increase could be achieved by the upgrade.
