Re: Can't open .zip/.cbz files

AddOn\Unzip32.dll, 08/08/2014, 193Kb?? Yes, listed as version 6.0.0.0, same date, same size, accompanied by a zip32.dll (same date, listed as 3.0.0.0) and a two days older unrar.dll (5.11.1.1315, but I haven't seen any RAR in this millennium, let alone a RAR with images.) Tested under Windows 7 64b...

Re: Can't open .zip/.cbz files

Please send me a zip file to test? FWIW, the attachment in another thread does not work for me with XnView 2.32. But actually other ZIPs also fail, and my issue might have nothing to do with the problem reported here. JFTR, the now solved and maybe related .7z archive is okay. "Show addons" lists u...

Re: XnView portable version with Ghostscript

Have you read the earlier posts of the thread? Not really, but you can create your own XnViewPortable.ini in the directory of XnViewPortable.exe, and (untested) that INI can define its own startup environment in an [Environment] section. - Just in case, do you test the 32bits version of Ghos...

Re: [v2.24] Can't view picture when inside an archive

Same result: Works for me, wild guess : We both tried to be smart and replaced the 56 KB DLL by something that's fresher than 2006. Doesn't work, and at that point I simply ignored the issue. When you reverted your DLL to the 56 KB DLL it still didn't work, and Pierre posted an archive with even ol...

Re: XnView portable version with Ghostscript

Am I missing something :?: Dunno, but I'm missing something. There is a Portable Apps ghostscript 9.15. So if you have U:\really\weird\apps\XnViewPortable the application directory of XnView would be U:\really\weird\apps\XnViewPortable\App\XnView, and ghostscript should be in U:\really\weird\apps\T...

Re: Forum search function bug?

Chrome Adds OpenSearch Plugins Automatically Yes, but it's not in a good usable state after the addition. For some fine tuning open chrome://settings/searchEngines manually or navigate to it in the Chrome settings . The search engines page consists of your Default search settings at the top, and re...

Re: Supporting mozjpeg for saving JPEG files

I'd really love this too :) It's an idea, I'm guilty of creating a mozjpeg gallery on WikiMedia Commons, because I missed the fine print, that a better name would be Xiph.org Daala image test suite , mostly proving that BPG is in fact better . :o And I like their five built-in quant-tables, because...

Re: [v2.24] Can't view picture when inside an archive

In my post I have my XnView install dir. You can download that to compare to your directory. Done. Your 7-zip DLL 9.34 (1734 KB) is an old beta or alpha version, the actual version is 9.38 beta. All these versions right back to the last stable vintage 2011 version 9.20 do not work with XnView class...

Re: BPG support unavailable

TL;DR summary: Viewing BPG works with the Susie plugin, but needs a susie.dll . BPG also works with the BPG plugin in the full version or as separate download, not included in the mini-version. This is not the final state, the separate libraries (dll) for the BPG binary (exe) won't be needed anymore...

works ok with the openjp2.dll from 2.31 version (2014) :bugfixed: Works, note to myself, never try to get away with the Mini-ZIP, there's interesting new stuff in the full ZIP whenever I don't look into it, new WebP, new openjp2, new (un)zip32, new unrar32, lots of BGP stuff, one filters file vinta...

Re: 2.30 crash report for EPS

Do you have the JPEG2000 plug-in openjp2.dll installed? Yes. No problem with your 2 jpeg2000 files Plan B: Disable vintage 2011 Xjp2.dll (renamed to Xjp2.dll.bad), test, crash. Plan C: Disable vintage 2013 openjp2.dll (renamed to openjp2.dll.bad), test, no crash (and no image, of course.) Plan D: E...

Re: Double-clicking on OpenEXR file has no effect

I don't know why the association wasn't properly done (but I would love to know). Indeed, I just tested this some hours ago, and I got a working exr_auto_file association. It was presumably created by explorer, because I didn't start XnView with admin rights. Oddly XnView 2.30 lists this extension ...

BPG support (solved)

XnView 2.30 does not recognize two BPGs straight from the source . The file type (extension bpg, name better potable graphics) also isn't available for associations on "options - system integration". However, it is listed as "BPG to DIB.dll" on the supported formats. As I was not sure what is going ...
