Detection of removable drive

When a removable drive is inserted the folder tree should show it.
With current version of XnView MP there is no reaction in the folder tree, even ignored after refresh/F5.

Re: List of missing features (compared to XnView Classic)

File Export has it's focus on optimization of file size and the result. The Batch Convert in MP does the same job as Export, except it does not display the file size before/after. Adding this info would close the gap and be great for a comparison whatever the actions. "Save as" is a standard, basic...

MP and video clips - Some deficiencies

First of all I would say that I like very much the new slideshow mode, with the property pane that pops from the right, the possibility to navigate using the film-strip on the top or the transparent navigation buttons, the possibility to zoom in and out to show a detail during a presentation, the eas...

Re: List of missing features (compared to XnView Classic)

Other opinions? Other stuff we could get rid off? There is no value to just copy/paste all existing features. Doing so, the "MP" would not be released quick and you'll have to maintain both platforms for a while. Waste of time. The new platform should be the opportunity to provide up-to-date and ea...

Modified date change when rebuilding a thumbnail

Hello, When rebuilding thumbnails, the file modification date is altered despite the option "Keep date/time for saving" is flagged. As far as I can see, other modifications made on the picture do not change the modification date. I use the latest version 1.97.8 but it seems the problem existed in ol...

Pb displaying time when all zeroes

If the time to be displayed is 00:00:00 then only the date is hown This happens on various displays (using the same wrong template I guess): change Timestamp, file properties Daniel I the example below I want to change the values to 00:00:00: http://dbaillard.chez-alice.fr/XnView/Pb_displaying_time_...

Re: Change timestamps for objects of mixed types or source

I see there was no more supporters for this request :( , maybe due to this statement being a bit too restrictive: So you would like that if a file has not EXIF, then no modification? The solution is not to excludes files not having EXIF data: A wrong date & time is set when a specific field doesn't ...

Re: Change timestamps for objects of mixed types or source

Yes Pierre, no modification. The existing values are more relevant than the current date & time.

Having some kind of alert or a flag would help users to quickly understand why some files will be (or have been) excluded. Best than a paragraph in the user guide

Thnks in advance,
Daniel

Re: Change timestamps for objects of mixed types or source

I can't recreate this problem. Simple to demonstrate. - Find 2 objects: a picture having EXIF dates and a picture from a scanner or a video clip. Select them. - Start the Change timestamp feature and select the picture having EXIF dates. - Select digitized date as source and file modification date ...

Re: Change timestamps for objects of mixed types or source

Can we have this improvement added to 1.97?
Always very annoying to loose data without being warned.

Daniel
