Re: Possible to restrict an addon (ffmpeg.exe) fo a file typ

XnTriq, thanks! I feel that the builtin ffmeg adoption is basically able to deal with FLV files (as they are previewed and played very fine!). I fell as well that probably the thumbs are not created using that capability, but maybe?? picked up from the windows exploer (here, they are appearing as th...

Re: Possible to restrict an addon (ffmpeg.exe) fo a file typ

Hm, i tried the beta and the minimalistic ini file showm within the thread mentioned ( Mon Jul 18, 2016 2:45 pm ), but i cannot see any different behaviour. (however i see a certain difference using videoMode=true vs. false -===> no previews (without regard of having the AddOn ffmpeg.exe or not). Af...

Possible to restrict an addon (ffmpeg.exe) fo a file type?

I tried to use XnviewMP win 0.81 as a browser for video files on windows 7 x64. I don't want to install any additional codec packs, and normally i don't need them at all (my player media player classic home cinema has it's own builtin decoders). Problem: + Nearly all works very fine, eg. I have thum...

Re: Different size/position of browser and viewer

Hello, .Do you want to have a separate Browser window mode and Viewer window mode, so an option to split the both modes on 2 different windows ? Yes, exactly .. like in xnview. Browser(treeview, thumbs, preview) is used as kind of control center (like the explorer in the analogy above) and the size ...

Re: XnViewMP, Fit image to win. height, var. width

Is there any expectation that this view mode might be back to xnview MP some day?
...hopefully, hopefully, hopefully .... it's my one and only view mode since years ... :-)

Re: Different size/position of browser and viewer

Using an analogy: it's similar to using a small windowed file explorer for navigation purposes, but when viewing a word-doc file, you may want to see it within a large window. With browser and viewer it is the same. If you doubleclick on an doc file within the explorer, you are normally not restrict...

Re: XnViewMP, Fit image to win. height, var. width

I feel it might be somehow connected to the removal of the option
to define different size and position for browser and viewer ...

Different size/position of browser and viewer

Please bring back to have the possibility to have different size and position of viewer and browser Unfortunately the interface option "Use different position/size for browser & view" had been removed. Imo that is restricted regarding individual needs ..... Maybe it is by concept that the same windo...

XnViewMP, Fit image to win. height, var. width

The first thing is my favorite fit image precerence "Fit image to window height, var. width". Will that be reintroduced s...

Hello Dreaamer,

cannot confirm.
Pressing space again may toggle some checks on or off, for selected thumbs, but does not revert the "show tag box" itself.
At least not at my installation .... :-(
Need to go thru the menu to remove the boxes ..

Hi, somehow related ... i'm using this setting ... but sometimes it happens that occasionally i press space bar in the browser (thumbnail view) and - arghh- the "show tag box" option will get active so that i need to navigate thru the menu to revert that. So, is it possible to cut that link between ...

Dreamer,
yes, that's right, and when i switch from "specified" (eg. c:\temp) to "use current"
and change to another directory, the latter one is stored in StartupDirectory (that's ok),
but the first one (c:\temp) still is kept in PathBrowse. And vice versa.

Hm, but if i try that and tell for instance "specified" and set that to C:\Temp\, then (for me) xnview behaves correctly ... and the PathBrowse= is consequently set to C:\Temp\ ... . Whereelse the information about the specified directory selected should be stored? . For me that is ok, but maybe i m...
