B1: File renaming doesn't work

I've tried with several different situations, assuming it must be my own mistakes, but I can't get xnview to rename any files in the browser. I press F2, enter a new name (same ext), and get an error messagebox: "Error renaming the file." I ruled out spaces in the path, and can't figure out what els...

B1: Animated gif read as a multipage file

Note: All other animated gifs so far work file, and the thumbnail for this shows up normally. But when it's opened, xnview brings up its multi-page message, shows some garbage for the first page/frame, and shows the rest of the frames as extra pages. (Which is actually a kind of neat way to extract ...

Oops, I was looking for something like that but obviously didn't find it. Thanks! And yeah, I'm just putting my suggestions in for future reference, whether they get into 1.90 or not.

B1: Mouse "Move Picture" option keep mouse still

Currently, when browsing a large, zoomed in pic with the mouse, the mouse will repeatedly hit the edge and need to be scooted back to the other side, grab again, and pull some more. (At which point it's almost easier to just use those annoying scrollbars.) I think a better idea would be to keep the ...

B1: LWF JP2000 plugin missing "quality" setting.

I have the photoshop plugin, and it has lossless, ratio, size, and quality, whereas xnview has only lossless, ratio, and size. Is this a limitation of the plugin you're using, or was the option just missed? (It's present in LWF format, oddly.)

Minor cosmetic issue: Checking Progressive should grey out Optimize, since it's implied. Bug: It always switches back to 16m color when it's set to something else, but TIFF doesn't know, and enables the b&w compression modes instead of the full-color ones. I don't suppose it'd be possible to include...

With the same file you gave me, double-clicking on it in xnview opens to a blank pane with a single file named 24ý that can't be opened. (I suppose that means 24² in your code page, I'm in us-english locale.) Hrm. Quite strange, I'm not sure why it wouldn't be working here, even something as simple ...

Similarity index improvements

The similar files function is really cool. I've been trying it out, it's already helped find some dupes and neat similar stuff. So, of course I jotted down my thoughts about it. :p I was thinking, a good way to browse across different sets might be a filmstrip across the top or side, similar to the ...

Print dialog - Best fit could rotate

If an image would fit the dimensions of the paper better by rotating tolandscape, it seems like best fit could do that for the user. Otherwise, choosing landscape isn't too hard. In that vein, choosing landscape in the printer options won't recompute the fit size until you go back and change any of ...

B1: Removing folders in explorer causes crash

Basically, if a folder shows in xnview's folder pane, and it's deleted in explorer, and xnview is in one of those folders, accidentally clicking on it will cause a treeview error followed by a crash. Except one time I just got a long chain of non-fatal errors, but it didn't crash. If it's in another...

Oops, I tested on the wrong file, so it broke. It's not solid after all, it seems to be files inside folders. Winrar 3.60 (which is multithreaded, no idea if that hurts or not). Whatever files aren't in folders are shown, but the folders show up as single 0-length text files with the name of the fol...

B1: Minor weirdness in preview window behavior.

It's easier to see if you have the preview set to the lower left pane. When both preview image and info show on screen, make the left pane larger, and drag the preview/info separator left to enlarge info, then click off preview. Now resize back down the left pane, and it'll go way over to the left. ...

Does not (always?) read archives with folders.

Which rules out 80% of them, sadly. (Even though I know it's a dumb idea, I still see a lot of image archives rar'd up with heavy-duty settings.)
