Re: Regarding the length of the file name problem
This is not quite correct that XnView can't open file with ANSI name reaching maximum length of 259 "whichever number Explorer allows" pure characters, which is defined in Windows constant MAX_PATH equal to 260 (last 260th = string terminating null-character). It can if you open such file from insid...

Re: Ability to add "Open with <External application>" to too
Ah-hah, so that's how it works. When I tried to add button for executable for the first time I skipped setting icon, because buttons for starting addons work even without icon. External app even starts with currently displayed image. Thanks for the tip!

{RESOLVED} "Open with <External application>" to toolbar
XnView can add addons from menu Filter as standalone buttons to toolbar. That's great. I'd like to have an option to add "Open with <Program name>" from menu File->Open with as a toolbar button too. I have read this post http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?f=35&t=32557&p=129406&hilit=toolbar#p...

Re: Batch renaming quits at start
Is it custom error message displayed by XnView or general error message displayed by Windows? And what exactly this message is saying?

Re: unintentional dragging-moving in tree window
How do you navigate through the folder tree in the way program thinks you want to move a folder? Can't hit a slider bar? Arrow keys shorten Ctrl Alt+M combination in keyboard circuit?

Interfacing with categories
I decided to take a break from what I usually do with XnView for-Windows-only aka Classic (i.e. from using it solely as image decoder with standard editing abilities) and try to do something new that other users do with XnView MP. MP has "better interface™", and I agree, having better interface is b...

Re: Some PNGs are not shown in XNView Classic
Please tell if checkbox in your Options->section Browser, subsection File List->tab Misc.->"Recognize only by extension" is enabled or disabled. I have saved one picture from this website, and, despite having extension .png, this is JPEG TrueColor v1.1 as detected by XnView. When I select "Recognize...

Re: How i can add "Browser <> Fullscreen" keyboard switch?
Sorry for third post in a row. I can combine them all in one if necessary. I just thought what if user requested to be notified by email about the answers. In modern versions of Windows, if you want to use only path to file from command line argument, you have to use %W parameter. I tried to change ...

Re: How i can add "Browser <> Fullscreen" keyboard switch?
To my surprise, XnView actually has switch "-browser". It only doesn't start picture in browser mode from command line like X:\XnView\xnview.exe -browser X:\MyPicture.img All switches can be viewed from Info->Command line help... menu. And none of parameters except for "%1" ( http://windowsitpro.com...
