Re: XnView Memory Usage

First, the following is not meant to be a criticism of XnView in any way. I remain a faithful user of XnView in both Windows and Linux. Ok, with that out of the way, here's my question :-) : Why does XnView use so much RAM? I've compared XnView and Irfanview (latest versions) in various stages of l...

Re: Img. description - cursor disapears and I can't continue

I've just tried and could easily reproduce the problem - both on Windows XP SP1 and on Windows 2000 (no SP). When confirming the dialog the focus moves to 'nowhere'. I've tried again with the 1.70, and the focus is back on the thumbnail list. Pierre, on the option page there's two settings for 'All...

Re: Difficulties creating Contact Sheet

First of all XnView is a great tool and I won't miss it anymore. I want to create a contact sheet and print it out to my A4 printer. That's 29.7x21 cm. What's that in Pixels? Unfortunately XnView accepts dimensions only in Pixels. Please tell me how many pixels are 1 cm or 1 inch. As far as I know ...

Re: Sorting order

and i have this little problem using xnview: the MS Windows Explorer sorts the images (correctly IMO) this way: 1...5...10...15...20... and so on, but xnview doesn't. Instead it sorts like: 11,12,13...19, 1 ,20,21,22...29, 2 ,30,31,32...39, 3 ,40,41... and so on. this is really anoying because each...

If you take any large full color PSD, BMP, etc, over 10 meg you start noticing it and when you get over 20 meg there is a big lag, several seconds, in loading in the preview or full window. I reinstalled the Delux version again and I also noticed that it seems to be slower in the Delux version then...
