Unfortunately 1.953 doesn't change anything on my system.
You have always the black screen on the second monitor??

In the setup described above changing from jpg to avi the avi will never be shown on my second monitor, instead the screen stays black and XnView crashes when trying to continue ...

Ok, i can reproduce the black screen on avi, but not the crash. On fullscreen, you use previous/next file?

Not sure what you mean. The cursor is in the left browser window. I use arrow left/arrow right on the keyboard to navigate from thumbnail to thumbnail. The selected tumbnail is shown on the ...

moved to an image folder and typed some letters to see, that only the first one is used to jump to the according file.

I just verfied in my normal C:\ directory that it does work with letters (not only numbers like tested before). I have no clue why it does not work for you, usually I am the ...

I can't believe that this is not reproducable. Pierre, want to send me a debug version that I could monitor with DebugView?
A debug version will not help, if i have not the same codec for example, the problem can be different

I disagree. A debug version would show you at what point of loading ...

Another update:

I am now on my 5th computer showing the exact same behaviour. This one is a Dell notebook and again totally different to the others, with Vista 32 as OS and (meanwhile) 1.952.

The crash happens only in 2 monitor browser left / fullscreen right mode, AND if the browser shows jpgs ...

Re: Viewer: Fullscreen F11 doesn't hide the Taskbar anymore

I've only fix problem with dual monitor.
So F11 in view mode or F11 in browser mode, it's the same problem??

Yes, as I've already confirmed.

I never said that I'm working on single monitor. I have a dual monitor setup! XnView is (just) running on the primary monitor ...

I can fully confirm ...

pic_viewer - are you using Thumbnails or Thumbnails & Labels mode?
It works in both modes for me under Vista. Under XP I used Thumbnails only.

On my Vista system I can reproduce this effect - partly. I have the viewer maximized (menus and taskbar visible), then hit F11. The menus etc vanish, the typical black fullscreen view shows up - but the taskbar stays visible for about one second, then vanishes too.

This has definitely not been ...

First: are we talking about the same thing? I have XnView (1.952) under XP SP3, left tree window, right thumbnail window.

I highlight the tree, which shows tons of entries 2003_xxxx up to 2008_xxx. Now I type '2005' and it jumps there. I type '2008' and it jumps there. To me it looks like it works ...

Re: TC option…

Hello Claude,

• I guess that you mean the TC option to sort directories " Always by name " or " Like files ",

Yes.

using the bistable command # 2012 .

I have no clue what that is. In TC you go to Configuration, Options, Display, Sorting Directories. Note that this option defaults to 'Always ...

JFC, I am under the impression that you did not understand what I was talking about.

And hijacking my simple question/suggestion thread with multiple strange proposals that will most probably never be implemented is rude, to say the least.

Always sort folder thumbnails after name

but the files after date...is there a way to do this in XnView? I have zero control about folder dates, so they never appear in a useful way. But files must be sorted by date especially if you have them from several sources. This option (default in most file managers, see TC) would be nice for me to ...
