Re: 0.71 Jpeg lossless rotation

May I suggest that an error code appear if file cannot be overwrited, suggesting the user to check permission on that particular file or if it's write protected.

Hi again.

No I cannot see that XnView have that option - or at least a proper way of selecting transparent color on true color images.

Topic have being discussed before in this old thread.

Re: Open with associated program fails - see details

But the correct registry key is "Open" Yes I'm agree on that. But other windows program may steel a file association and fail to make it correct. Fortunately for me I happens to know some bit on how the file association in windows is hanging together. A regular user that have no idea on windows reg...

Re: Open with associated program fails - see details

Even if you start XnView with admin rights? Hi. No, the admin rights is not a part here. I try to say that if file association registry setting (the ky as reffered abowe) has a name that is not exacly equal to "Open" then XnVIew will fail to open it. To depict an example. XnView will open files cor...

Non-responsive when saving large PNG's

Hi.

I've noticed that saving a large picture as PNG takes time (obviously).
But - during the time it take for XnView to finnish the PNG file, XnView does not respond to any input.

Would be nice if saving PNG is a independent process and that XnView works while saving is in progress.

Thanks :D

Support that suggestion

Hi.

I fully support this suggestion.

Having the abilyty to copy path makes it a lot easier when inserting an image in a forum because you don't need to browse for it manually in open file dialog box, just paste it's path.

Open with associated program fails - see details

Hi. On my XP machine, I cannot open BMP pictures in the associated program and I think I know why. When rightclicking a BMP file in Windows Explorer (WE), it yelds "IrfanView" while it yelds "Open" for other image extension. That means if the default registry key that define the program opening comm...

What entries is avaiable on list when you right click on a jpg file in windows explorer?

There is a lot of things in windows registry that can (and will) override any file association settings.

Capture setup, no format adjustment

Hi. In the capture setup dialog box, If I chose to save as file, there seems to be no way to adjust file output settings. If I select format=jpg, I cannot do any quality settings from within that dialog box. There should be an Option button there, just like the one in the Save dialog box. Thanks :D

Distrtibute as 7z

Hi.

Not an issue, just a thaught of me:

The dowloaded zip file of version 1.97.8 is 6315 kb. When I making this to a 7z archive, the new size is 3565 kb.
That new 7z file size ocupies just 56 percent of the zip file :D

Why zip and not 7z?

Thanks
