I never picked a folder as the folder I wanted to use was prefilled
I chose a folder which was the one already prefilled and it worked correctly
I have a folder that XnView always starts in and that was the one prefilled. Something in there is not right but this will be tough to reproduce
Thanks ...

Re: Convert Tiff to PNG but Retain its transparency
I can confirm that. In Xnview it did not even show the original as transparent. I loaded it into an editing program and it was visible there.I used Photozoom to convert it and again the transparency was gone

0.99.6 64bits Cannot create Contact Sheet
Version 0.99.6 64bits
When I try to create a contact sheet and click "Create" nothing happens. I have tried changing some of the parameters' to test but nothing worked. The files are there but the create button does nothing. I even searched the Hard drive to see if was elsewhere.

With photos having xmp or iptc keywords and categories, the batch process "resize" and "write to another folder" will write the new photos, with their keywords if "preserve metadata" is checked.
The categories will be assigned to the new photos ...

If i enable it:
As you can see Before and new file have XMP metadata and keywords...

Re: MP 0.98.4 Batch Converter strips Categories
Well I don't know what you call it but if I resize only, assigned categories stay
If I resize and put itin another folder the categories are stripped out
And if you disabled 'delete original'? what do you have in jpeg settings?
If I uncheck "delete original" the original has the category ...

Re: MP 0.98.4 Batch Converter strips Categories
it's not really a 'move'. I've tried with your sample file (which has XMP metadata), and the output file has too XMP metadata (and EXIF too).

Re: MP 0.98.4 Batch Converter strips Categories
It started in v 0.98.4
Could you try with 0.98.3, and send me the output?
I don't understand why you have not XMP metadata in the output file...
I could not reproduce in earlier versions. I had changed from an installed version to a portable so too many things have changed for any testing ...

Re: XnViewMP on Windows 11
If it is working o Windows 10 then it should be fine under Win 11 unless something went horribly wrongOTRAG wrote: Thu Oct 07, 2021 6:17 pm So you have completely rebuilt Win11 and xnVieMP is running.
Can I conclude that xnViewMP will also work when upgrading on an existing Win10 platform?
