Re: Possible solution for Linux distribution problems
There's https://flathub.org/ now, where you can publish your software, if you want. The configs are all hosted on Github, so all you have to do is fork the Flathub project, add your config and add a pull request. More details here: https://github.com/flathub/flathub/wiki/App-Submission It's an easy ...

Re: Please add additional JPEG encoders like MozJPEG and Guetzli!
+1 for MozJPEG Guetzli is good at compression, but takes literally forever to encode with, neither supports progressive encoding nor color profiles. MozJPEG is about as good at compression and supports the other 2 things I mentioned while being a lot faster than Guetzli. Couldn't this be implemented...

Re: Possible solution for Linux distribution problems
Well, the TGZ archive works very similarly (unpack, run xnview.sh) and you have to update the program yourself with Appimage, just like in Windows. There's no obvious choice IMO. Depends on what you want.

Re: Possible solution for Linux distribution problems
what is better? Flatpak, Appimage or Snapcraft? Both Flatpak and Appimage are fine IMO. Problem with Snap is that the only (offical?) way to distribute them is the Ubuntu Snap Store unless you host your own. And again, the .deb release already works fine, but the .rpm one doesn't and the reason why...

Yes, the new x64 TGZ version 1.76 works again here when using the shell script. Thanks.

Bump. Any plans towards Flatpak (or something like it)? It's simple, really: http://flatpak.org/hello-world

Re: XnConvert 1.75
The 64bit TGZ archive version launches on Fedora 26, but all the text is invisible. I can mouse select it, but it doesn't show up.

Bug: Transparent PNG areas have wrong color after conversion
I have PNGs here that I'm trying to convert into JPGs. Some of the transparent areas are converted into white, others into a dark grey. I think there's actually the original background of the photo re-appearing.

Re: Backgrounds when removing alpha channel
Bump. It would be really helpful to somehow be able to select which color the transparency will have, if the output format doesn't support transparency (JPG, ...). Otherwise, you'd have to do it in two passes (first convert to lossless format without transparency, then convert to JPG by replacing BG...

Possible solution for Linux distribution problems
Since it's a lot of work to support all the different types of distros, have you considered using something like http://flatpak.org ? It allows you to package your software as a single file app that includes all its dependencies, so it's (largely) independent from the distro. So if it works on your ...

Request: Convert between stereo 3D type
This stuff: http://www.kula3d.com/how-to-use-the-cross-eyed-method.html You can convert these images between cross-eyed and parallel view by horizontally mirroring both halves individually in place. I'd like to do that in batch. Just mirroring the the whole image does something different, so is not ...
