Re: Thumbnails and database size
It should use the mounted volume's GUID then (like 47ba2efc-2db1-11e0-88f8-806e6f6e6963).

Re: Features needed
Create contact sheet, extract thumbnails from video. They should both go in the "create" menu.

Add extension to image comparison
Long time no see. ;D If you try to compare different filetypes of the same image, and thus have the same file name, you don't know which one is which without the extension. For example, i was trying to compare an image stored as JPG and JP2, and since they both had the same name... So please add the...

Re: Use ICC profile - Add "use monitor profile" option
Thank you for your answer. What a pity :( However, for other OSes it might be a welcome addition (I'm personally interested in Windows version). Also, I noticed that option for using the monitor profile is present in Windows version of GIMP. Maybe there is similar code for Linux too, even though it...

ICC profile handling
Since i've got me a new WCG monitor, i want to talk about the ICC profile handling in XnView. 1. The batch processing dialog. 1.1 The "ICC convert" transformation should be placed under the "Convert" section, because that's what it does - convert between ICC profiles, possibly color modes ...

Re: Use ICC profile - Add "use monitor profile" option
It's a good idea in itself, but finding out the monitor profile is difficult across different OS. In Linux there isn't a standard way of defining a global monitor profile. It works more on a per program level.

Combine the design mark from this:
with the text from this, but with a bright x and a gray view:
and i think we have a winner.

With 100% i mean the program window's width.
What is it that you don't like about the tab with on your screenshot?

Re: My GUI feedback on XnView MP
Well, i'm also not a big fan of even more options. I think they're already filled to the brim and thus overwhelm the average user (an "expert" mode would be good, but that's another issue). Why wouldn't the "occurrence" be fine without a max-width as you propose? One tab open -> takes up 100% width ...

Re: Batch processing - close dialog option issue and suggestion
I see it as one line or sentence. If you uncheck it at the front, the whole thing is disabled. OK, but what if someone wants the other option and don't want the first one?? Does "Open folder in XNv" even work? It's a modal window, meaning that program window behind it is inaccessible until you clos...
