Re: My GUI feedback on XnView MP
On the tabs: I only care for usability, and the only pro argument for a fixed width tab is that the close button would always be in the same spot. So if you had 3 tabs open, and you closed the left-most one, the others would slide to the left, and the new left-most tab's close button would be in the...

Re: My GUI feedback on Xnview MP
8. There SHOULD be options in the settings to set a 'maximum tab width' so tabs don't become too wide; http://i48.tinypic.com/fllcnn.png and by default the max tab width should the same length as of the current first tab now Why? If there's enough space (as in: not many tabs open), why not make use...

Some nice stuff there thibaud. I'm just not completely sold yet.
The X looks like a D-pad of a joypad, and the N inside the X reminds me a bit of the Nintendo N64 N. The design mark now looks a bit like a spiked lemon. Just to give you some feedback... no offense.

Re: Batch processing - close dialog option issue and suggestion
I see it as one line or sentence. If you uncheck it at the front, the whole thing is disabled.

Re: Batch processing - close dialog option issue and suggestion
I suggest this:
[x] Close dialog after conversion and
The bold part is new. The dropdown to the right stays exactly the same.

v1.97 - Batch ICC conversion
Doesn't seem to do anything. The labels for the in- and output color profiles say the default is sRGB. But if i convert a CMYK TIFF file into a RGB JPEG one, it still has the TIFF's ICC profile, according to XnView itself. In fact: if i open the generated JPEG in Photoshop, it tells me the embedded ...

Wrong range of values
Some of the filters that have the black, white and expansion limit seem to have the wrong range of values. Take the map -> normalize setting for example. They 3 settings all don't seem to change anything in the image above a value of 99, but you can set it as high as 255. It says "%" after the field...

0.21: Folder tree wrongly sorted
In WinXP SP3 the folders in the folder tree pane are not being sorted alphabetically. But that only seems to happen for FAT32 partitions. My NTFS partitions are being sorted from a-z.

0.21: Custom file list filter not working
Configuring the custom file list filters does nothing for me in the thumbnail view. It always shows all the files. The quick filter (images, videos, ...) work though.

Preload more files for viewing
With images getting bigger and bigger along with CPU-power and RAM size, i think it makes sense to let XNView make more use of those resources in order to speed up viewing and thus improve the user experience. That's why i'm asking for a feature to pre-load (and cache) more images, when skipping thr...

Re: Corrupt PNGs unreadable - or are they?
Can you open the images if you deactivate the Ignore read errors setting in T ools » Options » General » Read/Write » General ? You may also want to examine the files with TweakPNG ( F ile » Check Validity ). Sorry for my late reply. I should have tried that, but i've already recovered those files ...

Corrupt PNGs unreadable - or are they?
This is very weird. I was sent 2 PNGs via email, and they arrived in unreadable condition. Now the funny part is, that the thumb-nailer was able to create thumbs for them, but if i tried to open them it xnview tells me there was an "error opening file". So, why can't i open those pictures when build...
