Looking at the sample screenshot available at Image Shack I'm pretty sure that the problem is not a display problem of XnView or JPG artefacts. My guess would be that you have the "Use Embedded thumbnail" option on. Go to "Options / Browser / Thumbnail" and uncheck the "Use Embedded thumbnail", if it is checked. If that didn't help, it's probably a cache problem. In this case you can try to disable the cache in "Options / Browser / Cache" ...
