A program called Exifer might help you. I used this program (among others) prior to switching completely to XnView It has not been updated for over 2 year but it can backup and restore exif data. I used to use the restore feature after manipulating images. And it should be possible to use for import...

I think this is confusing for many users... True. I had a minor confusion about this myself when I started using XnView although not as drastic as described in this thread. Some suggestions have been made to change the options dialog to clarify this. The most simple solution might be to rename the ...

The only way I know to do this in XnView is to select the images you want to print and then select "Tools - Create Contact Sheet ..." from the dropdown menu and the print the contact sheet generated.

This may require some manual pixel calculations to fit your paper size.

Personally I would like to use the mouse buttons to navigate to next and previous images although the Context Menu is obviously a good idea. Therefore I tend to agree with Helmut having navigation as a default rather than the context menu. But as Helmut said there is no good way to say which should ...

I can confirm this problem running XnView 1.74, also tried another djvu image getting the same results.

But I am pretty sure I have previously used XnView to view djvu images. Strange.

So if you really want 'Exit' in the context menu it must be only added when activating an option. Helmut. Are you talking about an option whether the 'Exit' item is displayed on the menu? Could an option to have a Context menu (with default off) in full screen be enough in your opinion?. Best regar...

I like to use the mouse buttons in fullscreen mode in a similar way as the PgUp and PgDown keys. And if a context menu is added in fullscreen I think it should be optional. Exit and Close are probably logical to have if you have a context menu, but I voted for the "RMB context menu is in fullscreen ...

Shouldn't all formats specified in "Options > Formats" be supported here? I would think so. So this should probably be considered a small bug as difo.pol suggests rather than a feature addition as you might think from reading Pierre's reply. But it doesn't really matter does it :) Although it might...

Well there are many ways that come to my mind. Most of them are through the keyboard. Esc (as you mention) Ctrl W Ctrl F4 Alt F C Clicking "File"-"Close" on the dropdown menu. Clicking the folder icon to the left of the dropdown menu and then "Close". It sounds as you prefer using the mouse. But let...

This is a good idea, although it may need to be refined somewhat. First, a "Save as" column will also be needed to fulfill the role of the current "File types" item in options. With "File browsing" unchecked the files should still be shown in the browse window but not colored (to indicate it is an i...

Thanks for the "fix it" comment.
Funny what you say about LIBPNG. And I thought it was a reference library for PNG! If this really bothers me I guess I'll have to look at LIBPNG and submit a patch for it :)

Number of selected files shown in statusbar

There used to be a problem with the preview not updating when decreasing the number of selected files in browse mode using the arrow keys while holding down the shift key. See comment 1) in this topic http://newsgroup.xnview.com/viewtopic.php?t=834 This has been fixed but now I have a somewhat simil...

I would like to see XnView use the Registry for settings as a default setting on new installs. Esp. if it will prevent lock ups and other problems. Re: Suggestion: "Grab&Drag"-View / "Next

1. "Grab&Drag"-View Right now, when viewing large pictures, you can scroll by using the scrollbars or by using the cursor buttons. In other programs there is a viewmode with a little hand: You can click on the large image, hold the button down and scroll. The right mouse button gives this functiona...
