Re: Convert MP4 to animated GIF
According to the wikipedia page 9and all other sources I can find), IE has no support for APNG, not even through plugins. Firefox & opera support APNG from 2008 onward (although opera 15+ require a plugin). Chrome/chromium browsers likewise support it via plugin, though apparently safari does not. (...

Re: Convert MP4 to animated GIF
APNG is comparable to animated GIF. It is better in almost every way though. The only drawback to APNG over GIFs is support. Most newer browsers support APNG, but few older ones do, whereas animated GIF is supported in every browser. On the other hand, support in image editing software is better tha...

Re: Convert MP4 to animated GIF
Few progs can create animated gifs at all, and xnview is not one of them. There is a version of virtualdubmod that can convert video files (such as mp4) into APNG format, I don't know if it can convert to gif or not. http://vdubapngmod.sourceforge.net/ If VDM-apng can't create gifs & apng files won'...

Re: PNG -> ICO, keep transparency, no alpha channel
Greenfish icon editor can do it: http://greenfishsoftware.blogspot.com/ open image->right click small pic on the left->page proeprties->color reduction file->save as->.ico It's several steps, but they're all quick & easy, and the results are hard to argue with. I took your sample pic and reduced it ...

Put a plus in front of not. file +not found That tells the forum that "not" is being used as a search term.Ammammata wrote:

Good tip, beats the hell out of enabling the button, then re-disabling it. Thanks.CreativeWorld wrote: ctrl + w also works to close the browser tab.

bug: Cannot clowse browser tab with clicks
While the individual image tabs can be closed with either middle clicks or double clicks (assuming you have your options set to allow each), the browser tab cannot. The only way to close the browser tab once it's opened is via the "X" close button, which of course requires having the close buttons e...

Missing screen capture modes
Why is the "active window" option greyed out, and why is the [specific window] option missing, in the capture dialog? These are by far the most useful capture options, and their absence is the biggest barrier preventing me from replacing regular xnview with MP.

Re: Disable this little box
This really belongs down in the MP section since it's about xnviewMP.
That aside, go tools->settings->view->view (tab)->uncheck "show pan tool"

View jg4/jg6 format/s?
I have a jigsaw puzzle program and its puzzles appear to be modified BMP files (based on filesize). I have a lot of these, and it would make it much easier to keep organized if I could use xnview to view & move them. There are 2 file extensions, jg4 and jg6, presumably they are the same basic format...

Re: I Can No Longer Directly "View in Fullscreen" (F11)
The MP version uses openGL, whereas I believe the regular version uses directX. This would explain a lot, as directx probably got changed when you updated windows & no longer works properly with xnview.

The MP version is a version of xnview that's designed to be cross-platform.

Re: I Can No Longer Directly "View in Fullscreen" (F11)
Have you tried the MP version of xnview to see if it behaves the same way? Regardless whether it behaves the same or differently, KNOWING whether it behaves the same or differently might help narrow down the source of the problem.
