Not all iPhone format PNGs work

Ok, I tried the latest version of XnView, and I found it works with iPhone app PNGs. Howeever not all the files of this type work. I created a zip file containing certain iPhone PNGs that still do not load in XnView, and uploaded this to mediafire for you to download and use to debug XnView. http://...

Re: Let XnView load iPhone PNG images

Ok, maybe I need to download the latest version, because my current version can't read these. Yes it does now work. However it seems that certain iphone/ipad PNG files still are incompatible. Here's a link to a zip file in which I've put several of the pictures I extracted from an app which still wo...

Let XnView load iPhone PNG images

When an app is transfered to an iPhone after being created by the person who programmed it in the iOS SDK, any PNG images which were resources used by the the software are automatically further compressed using one of the tools in the SDK, called PNGcrush. However if you have an app you want to "rev...

Need TIM save capability

TIM is the format of Playstation-1 games. Saving TIM image files would allow people to make their own "homebrew" games.

Re: How about SVG support.

I see now there is a 3rd party plugin for SVG, but it costs money (defeating the purpose of me choosing XNview). Someone who's into programming, REALLY needs to sit down and write up a nice simple SVG plugin that supports transparency (as most of my source SVGs have transparency), and then upload it...

Re: MAKIchan image format?

While working on a visual novel engine, I've happened upon a few MAG images, and wrote a basic specification. It is available here: http://mooncore.eu/mimu/txt/makichan.htm Helpful, I hope! Yes BIG THANKS, but you neglected a few things I'll need to know if I'm to make an encoder. What do the boole...

How about SVG support.

XNview already supports standard vector graphic formats, WMF and EMF. Why not also add SVG to the list of vector graphic formats it can load. And that's an important format too as it seems to have gained prominent usage on Wikipedia and other websites. To convert these files to a more common graphic...

Re: I've noticed certain bugs in GFL SDK ActiveX

Sorry for the delay but i'm currently very busy... Source code of GFLAx is available... I just wanted you to know that with the ActiveX OCX control version of GFL SDK (haven't yet checked the regular DLL version) the "raw" save mode doesn't actually write the raw image data. If it did, a 32bpp (bit...

I've noticed certain bugs in GFL SDK ActiveX

but when I report the bugs I get no reply. Are my posts invisible to the admin or something? I mean the guy who makes xnview should reply and either say he's going to fix the bugs, or he won't.

When will GFL SDK ActiveX be updated (and bugs fixed)?

Some of the documentation for the ActiveX version is not updated with the latest correct info on all of the features of the ActiveX version. In the actual GFL SDK ActiveX component, the "raw" format outputs a 256 level grayscale image REGARDLESS of what the actual bit depth and color palette is set ...

MAKIchan image format?

Ok I've seen this format for a while now as relating to images on the Japanese computer PC98. It has a file extension of MAG. Unfortuneately all documentation I've seen so far is written in Japanese. Now I know that XNview supports this format. So I'm hoping that maybe someone here at these forums c...

GFL SDK ActiveX idea

While XnView standalone software supports TWAIN camera/scanner access, unfortunately the ActiveX one doesn't work. (I'm using the AX DLL, not the normal DLL). Please add that feature. I'm trying to find a FREE way to let my VB6 programs access my framegrabber which has TWAIN drivers. But the problem...

Thanks.

Also, I'm curious about something. If I wish to use xsusie with the GFL SDK, is it possible to use xsusie with the ActiveX version of the GFL SDK? Or does xsusie require the standard dll version of the GFL SDK to work?
