Re: New filters
Thank you for your nice words regarding XnView and suggestions! ...I also had a question about the resizing function in xnview . Other programs I have used have had the tri-linear or bi-cubic methods of resizing and they look very good . The problem is that they don't work with the alpha channel . W...

Re: 100% CPU usage when exiting
When I exit XnView 1.74 the window will close but the program will continue running for a moment while using 100% of available CPU time before terminating. This is on XP Pro SP2, the CPU's a Celeron 1.2 GHz, and it's got 512 megs of RAM. Please have a look at topic Slow starting and quitting (1.70....

'Client area' means the inner area of a window, i.e. the window without titlebar and frame. This is why 'Client area' is only available when captured object is "Window". As Aokromes pointed out, for capturing any area of your desktop you capture the whole desktop and then do the cropping in XnView. ...

Oui, l'aide pour XnView 1.74 consiste d'un seule fichier 'help-fr.chm'. Pour installer l'aide il su...

I would like filenames padded with zeros in the 'Scan Into' function. When I am scanning many pages at once, xnview generates filenames like ... I think at the moment there is no way to get leading zeros like "001", "002". The usual placeholder "#" does not work, here. As a workaround (but not a ni...

Re: Still no .EPS or .AI
I have tried 5 different viewers with NO luck in displaying AI, EPS thumbnails... I would like to get this one to do it as it appears to be the nicest. Can someone hold my hand through it, please. XnView mainly supports raster images (with pixels), but it can display some vector formats like AI, EP...

How to display vector formats like PDF, AI,...? GhostScript!
XnView is intended for working with raster graphic files, that is image files which consist of pixels. Apart from this, XnView also supports some vector formats using GhostScript, e.g.: - AI (Adobe Illustrator, not all subformats) - PDF (Adobe Portable Document Format) - PS (Postscript) - EPS (Encap...

As ckit pointed out, already, XnView can do some image editing, but it's not his strong area at all. There's some workaround, but it's not really good: 1. In the image select an area that has the colour you want as background 2. Choose Edit->Copy (or short cut 'Ctrl+C') 3. Select the area you want t...
