Re: JPEG Lossless question. Why is the file size smaller?
One possible explanation: a lossless operation writes directly to file. Saving it afterwards (according to quality settings) would be an unnecessary step.

Re: Remembering zoom level in Fullscreen
Lock zoom exists in 2 different places- Browser and Viewer: which currrently act like seperate animals (including their own independent fullscreens). I recommend checking lock zoom settings again to see if they have not been reset by switching between modes (or changing options). Yet another setting...

Re: Remembering zoom level in Fullscreen
Auto Image size is the only alternative setting I'm aware of:
Options... View>Auto Image Size [Fit image to window large only]
Options... View>Fullscreen>Auto Image Size [Fit image to window large only]
And in context menu.

Re: Remembering zoom level in Fullscreen
Lock zoom should do it: Ctrl + Numpad /
(in context menu)
Aside:
A remember previous zoom setting might be familiar in another program, but perhaps tabs/multiple windows would make this an awkward suggestion for program.

Re: Extract multipage-TIF and file-enumeration
With another filename template (or complete lack of one), the internal frame number seems needed. v.1.98's extract into directory is more informative about this: image_page_001.bmp image_page_002.bmp image_page_003.bmp That would be much clearer than XnC, where we have only the number: image_1.bmp i...

v.39(L) HQ is 2 pass with cache disabled
With Options... Misc>View>Cache disabled, the high quality presentation is presented slowly in 2 passes.
While enabled, an image is shown in single pass (a presentation which appears much more appealing to me).
I typically disable all extra features before using a program and so this jumps out.

Re: .mts / .m2ts + .jpg mixed DiaShow
Changing filename was good idea. Otherwise, codec installation should be checked and a different direct show player (not wmp) like mentioned in topic below can verify that film is able to play on your system:
