What I do with XnView for photos to appear well everywhere: - Check "thumbnail>use embedded thumbnail" and uncheck "read>rotate images based on exif orientation" (see which ones need rotation) - Use JPEG lossless transformations (as far as I know the best way to rotate both images and thumbs in one ...

Dude if you think it consumes too much RAM you have the right to voice your opinion here (after all this is a discussion board not a fan club), however stating in your first post that it's "way too inefficient" is just deliberately provocative and counter-productive IMO. Amazing you know Citroen in ...

Thanks for all the good work Pierre. Right now I'm manipulating important images for my thesis project so I think I'll keep using the stable build. I'd gladly partake in some testing later if that could help =)

To thumbs only I think. As for different displayed information in thumbs/page.html I'm afraid it's currently not possible, maybe using javascript such as: "if page address contains thumbs.html then show lines x and y, else show lines x and z". If you don't know how to and nobody else does it I'll tr...

Rename i_3001a.ntf to i_3001a.nitf and if needed check nitf in options > associations
Also i think you must check options > startup > use all formats available
Curiously, I could view and preview it with "use all formats" checked but no thumbnail until i renamed it to .nitf

2 ways that I know of:
  • Select the images in the browser, then Tools>Batch Convert...>Advanced Operations and select "Resize" (Lanczos resampling is recommended)
  • If you are running Win XP, you can use the Image Resizer PowerToy

Which is the installation file to use, if there is one? Nothing I have tried thus far has that action. Hi, you don't need to install anything from the *zip* version, just unzip and enjoy =) Another question: I will not use most of the language packs, can I simply go to the appropriate XnView sub-fo...
