Image redrawn several times when switching views
When I switch from 'normal view' to 'full screen', the image seems to jump several times before being redrawn correctly: - 2 translations upward (while removing toolbars and menu) - last redraw (final size and position) It does the same when switching back: - 1 fast translation down (from full scree...

Extended Right Click in the Title Bar (and empty areas)
In addition to the Right Mouse Button on files/folders, it would be nice to add actions for the RMB on the Title bar and empty areas (Menu, separations, etc...). Please consider (with an active Browser Window): - Refresh and Stop (and remove them from Files' RMB) - View as (Thumbnails, etc...) - Sor...

Configure and move Toolbars, Tabs, Menu...
I know that it would be a lot of work, but the possibility to configure completely all elements on the screen would be a great improvement: - configure each bar (Toolbar, small toolbar above main area, Menu, Tabs) and even move elements between them - move and dock them anywhere in the window If thi...

Improve Thumbnails Caching management
When Cache is enabled, if you rename folders/files or move/copy files with XnView, all Thumbnails will be recreated and cached again. The previous cache is not deleted until using 'Optimize'. It would be way much faster and efficient to only update the Cache information accordingly: - rename a Folde...

Re: Ahhhh...CTRL (bis :D )
By default, left mouse click in selection is "Zoom selected area". If you want to change this behaviour and always want to move the selection without pressing Ctrl, in the options "Tools > Options", category "View > Keyboard/Mouse", you set the drop down list "Left button use in selection" to "Move...

I don't like the idea of adding another browser window in the normal layout, as it really becomes a over-the-top "File Manager" feature. Using a File Manager (or even a second instance of XnView) and/or some use of "Copy/Move To Folder" is usually fine, no? Why not just allow more than one browser t...

Re: Any update ?
Here are my suggestions: - Calculate only the area that is really showed in the window. - When moving/scrolling the area or resizing the window, calculate only the new parts. [snip] PS: the Priority of User's action over background processes should be the norm everywhere in XnView... This suggestio...

=> "Use 2-step high quality preview for pictures larger than [X] Mega-Pixels" Megapixel refers to the total amount of pixels, not to vertical or horizontal resolution, as in this case. For this wording to match, Pierre would need to change the way the value is checked. Exactly: my suggestion is not...

So what about my previous suggestion ? Maybe we should use what Hacker mentioned previously: the number of pixels (as the surface area: width x height) ? => "Use 2-step high quality preview for pictures larger than [X] Mega-Pixels" Most people know what a "Mega-Pixel" is (thanks to digital cameras) ...

I encountered this Height/Width bug as well in RC5, and this last Same as Image & Swap bug in RC6 (I am pretty sure there was another one in RC5, but i can't reproduce it in RC6... good news :) ) . So, everything should be fine, now... I didn't expect exactly this behaviour: I probably misunderstood...

RC6: Selection Swap with "Same as Image" ratio can
When you select "Same as Image" ratio, create a selection and Swap width & heigth: A. if you immediately create a new selection, it will keep the same Orientation as the previous one = OK. B. if you click (LMB) somewhere else in the picture first, and create a new selection, it's Orientation will re...
