Thank you! I just add xnview to exclude list. I've excluded XnView and it's subdirectories from scanning in McAfee VirusScan, but this did not help. The one and only thing that helped was using the Windows registry. I'd be interested to know which virusscanner and version you are using and whether ...

Re: Suggestion: Search for wallpapers

One of my tools for wallpapers (management or creation) is Xnview, along with MSPaint via the OpenWith feature. While one can go directory by directory and sort via the details view the pics and choose/move the desired ones, it would be nice to be able to search for the pics according to a particul...

For special usages and unexperienced users, a light mode might be useful. Even if XnView has a pretty simple interface, this might be still too complicated for novice users. E.g. novice users don't care about EXIF and IPTC. Also, for photo preparations you usually you need few image effects, only. X...

Thank you very much.
Pausing the virus scanner is not really an option. Please have a look at Slow starting and quitting (1.70.2 and above), this should help.

ckit et al, How much longer will XnView be around before XnView DeLuxe 2 takes it place? or are we being used a bit like Sun uses ppl with OpenOffice only to improve StarOffice instead. ckit et al, the "IrfanView mode" is a good joke, you Australians really have humour. :-) For all I know CorelDraw has a "Adobe PhotoShop" mode, but I don't think that a.) Many people know about this mode. b.) Many people use this mode. c.) Adobe PhotoShop users switch to CorelDraw because of the "Ph...

Is this a new version setting? I used to have an older version till I re formatted that you could right click an image file and in the drop down list would be a thumbnail. Clicking that thumnail would expand it to its actual size, WITHOUT THE XNVIEW BROWSER. I liked this very much. ... From what I ...
