It would be nice to add an 'All fields' condition for XMP search (in the same way it exists already one for both EXIF and IPTC searches).

For example, a search on xmp 'city' field doesn't find any picture when a search through IPTC fields run fine.

If the DB is lost you have just to reimport the files. That could take some time but it is easy. Another advantage to store keywords also into files : you don't lost them even if you switch to another software* since it is stored in a standard way (IPTC/XMP). I am using XnViewMP beta 0.26 with Ubuntu Lucid Lynx (64bit).

I installed it thanks to this link : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/xnview_mp

where you can found a .deb 64bits (http://hizoka.funcenter.fr/linux/XnViewMP_0.26_64.deb)

If you are using Linux/Ubuntu you could read it : http://doc.ubuntu-fr.org/xnview_mp

(since it is a .deb that should run on all debian based distributions)

Bonjour, If I run a seach without to check 'DB' box I can find what I am searching. But if i check it the same request fail to find anything. The result pop-up displays an empty DB path. Of course I have set a base path. By the way, how we can know XnView has finish to import all metadata in DB cach...
