0.84: Video slider moves with Auto play=off

Post by helmut »

XnView: MP 0.84 - 64 bit
OS: Windows 10 - 64bit

When unchecking "Auto play (videos)" in settings and then selecting a video in the browser, the video is shown and not played but the slider indicating the position moves.

Effect: Irritating user interface

To reproduce:
1. Uncheck "Auto play (videos)" in Settings: View | View and confirm
2. In XnView browser browse a folder with videos
3. Select the first video in the folder.
Actual behaviour (bug): Video is shown in the preview and not played. Video slider moves as if the video is played. :bug:

Expected behaviour: Video is shown in the preview and not played. Video slider does not move.

EDIT: I just realize that this problem occurs with one specific video, only. This specific video drop.avi can be downloaded here: http://www.engr.colostate.edu/me/facil/ ... s/avis.htm

Confirmed.

Nevertheless, there's something strange with that video. LAV Filters do not play it. (I mean neither Windows Media Player nor XnView with useInternalVideoPlayer=false can play it). But MPC-HC (which also uses LAV Filters but internally) does actually play it without problems !?!?!?

Thank you for checking and confirming, arspr. This problem should be dealt with low priority because this problem occurs with that one video only.
