Videos play automatically whether autoplay false or true

Post by musigreg » Sat Jun 25, 2016 11:25 am

Hey there!

Since last update, my videos started to play automatically.
I checked the options, and everything is unchecked.
I also checked the .ini file, and everything is on "false".

But as you can see in this screenshot, the video starts playing on its own when it's selected.
And it's really bugging me, because I'm used to open my videos with another player. Now, I have to pause it in XnView, and then launch it elsewhere.

Hope you can help me.

Greg

Edit: I found this post which is almost the same problem, but never got a solution in the end...

Well, I guess I found a way to disable video playback in the preview altogether.

Go to "File list > Custom filter" and uncheck the "Show in preview" box on the "Video" line.

There is still a bug to fix with the autoplay, but I guess if you, like me, use another software to read the videos, then this works.

In the meantime, I hope it helps someone.

Works fine for me in v0.84: Videos are shown but not played both in preview and viewer.
